To say
This is what we think about our ENT appointment today. Because she didn't present with an active infection, we are basically going to wait and see what happens over the next month. The doctor did suggest we change her to a Soy formula as she may have a mild milk allergy. Although, she has been taking the same formula since she was a month old and it is lactose free. To say this little girls mama is skeptical would be an understatement, to say this little girls mama was a little upset after her appointment would be an understatement, to say this little girls mama wants her back to her bright eyed bushy tailed, sleeping in her own bed self, is really an understatement.

Sweet Sweet Red
We have had a pretty blah week here. Els finally got her referral to the ENT today, we will be seeing Dr. Coleman Monday. I am hoping for tubes, so baby girl can get some relief, she just isn't herself. Of course who would be after getting a shot, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. They gave up on oral antibiotics this weekend and started treating her ears and junk with rocephin shots. She is one tough little chic. Below are a couple of snaps from her 9 month shoot, couldn't keep them to myself. Her baby steps turned out to walking tonight. She pulled herself up several times and took steps between objects on her own unassisted. Watch out world here she comes....

I AM
I AM 10 months old
- I am wearing 6-12 month clothes.
- I am wearing a size 3 diaper.
- I am extremely hard to photograph.
- I am no longer toothless. (We discovered my first tooth on 9/10/10).
- I am very destructive.
- I am in to EVERYTHING!!!
- I am quickly becoming a Daddy's girl, this makes Mommy very sad.
- I am standing without holding on to anything.
- I am taking steps (I took my first steps on 9/14/10).
- I am beginning to eat big people food. I prefer it over baby food and will refuse to eat my baby food if you give me a taste of real food before I ear my lunch or dinner.
- I am having trouble getting well, I have been sick for the last month and a half.
- I am eating a morning 5 ounce bottle around 6:30, then breakfast around 9:30. At 11:30, I have a juice bottle (I am not interested in a sippy cup, no thank you very much). Around 1:00 I have lunch of a fruit and veggie. Then at 3:30 I have 5 ounce bottle. At 6:00 I have dinner which is another fruit and veggie. Then at 8:15, I have my 7 ounce cereal bottle.
- I am sleeping from 8:30 to 6:00, when I'm not sick, although I have been waking up quite a bit as of late.

The Fair just isn't Fair
Last night we went to the Fair. We had actually tried to go Saturday, but the weather looked like it as going to be really bad, so I talked Hads out of going. There was something about being in the middle of the midway with Hadley and Ellison and the bottom falling out that just wasn't appealing to me. Wayne gave me a pretty hard time, but the truth is he was helping convince her too!! So we went to the Fair. The curly haired Diva got to ride lots of overpriced rides, she got to work with a blacksmith and make a horseshoe necklace, we looked at the animals and then as we were leaving, she decided the evening couldn't end on a good note. She had seen some ponies that she wanted to ride. You know the ones that walk in a circle for about 5 laps and then you are done. We weren't sure if the ride would be included with the pass we had already purchased for her or it would be additional, so we agreed to walk over and take a look. As we expected it was not included and it would cost $5. She was not happy when her Daddy informed her that there was no way he was paying $5 to make 5 laps on a horse, when she had to perfectly capable horses in the back yard that she was not the least bit interested in. You are correct, if you guessed that his line of logical thinking meant nothing to her and we were met with the SULK. As we walked out to the car, she informed me that she was upset and would not be speaking to any of us the entire ride home. Ummm yes, punish me please, please don't talk to me the whole ride home. I'm sure it won't come as a shock that her refusal to speak, lasted a whole 5 minutes and we were again witness to her spectacular DIVA tude. It's so sad the Fair just isn't Fair.

Uprooted
Mother Nature is a crazy thing. Last night we had a wee bit of rain and apparently a huge wind gust that came through just right and our neighbor lost one of his hundreds of years old oak trees. It is the same oak tree that the horses love to rest under, thankfully they weren't in his pasture when it feel. I have never seen a tree up close that has been uprooted this way and am amazed, add to that it has been very dry here and I just don't understand. It is really kind of sad. I took Hads out to take her picture next to the tree and explore something you don't see every day and ultimately Wayne had to come out and coax her up on it. She is such a unique little thing. Things that should scare her don't and things that shouldn't do...
