So this was a surprise. I knew she was working on her name and could write it, but I didn't know she could write mine. How absolutely cool is that? My little rockstar writer. So I know I'm tired and it's late and the whole iphone purge thing is wearing on me and I should quit while I'm ahead, because what was suppose to be write, I typed as right....whew how about that for misusing the English language?

No of course not
So Turbo is a movie about a snail and Hadley has been dying ot see it. I honestly feel like when they start animating a movie about a snail, they might be digging just a little bit. The girls enjoyed it and enjoyed the surprise too, we didn't tell them where we were going. Although, I will say Els enjoyed the popcorn more than the movie. I mean do you really think a movie about a snail is going to hold The Red Head's attention.

Sleeping Beauty
I seriously am going to make a book of this girl sleeping. I can't tell you how many stall tactics this girl used this night. When I went in for her nightly check, I can't tell you how many things were out of place, she currently had been up rummaging around after Hadley went to sleep. I say after Hads went to sleep, because Hads totally would have ratted her out. Then I see this bit of sweetness.

Whoever said a rearview was precious?
Me thats who. This was my rearview on the way back from Nashville. We went to Church, went through a drive thru for lunch, they ate in their seats and five minutes after they finished Els was out. I'm not really sure when I lost Hadley. Girl doesn't nap though, so I know we slap wore her out with all our activities.

Shop till you drop
It is iphone purge time again. So forgive the poor quality photos but I want to document these moments. On our recent trip to Nashville we went shopping. Hadley has always said, "I'm not a shopper." As long as I provided her with comfortable clothing she didn't insert an opinion. It was bliss for me. I have gotten to continue to play dress up, well beyond the normal time period. However, that is all beginning to change. I present Exhibit A....she wraps the scarf on like a professional, props up against a wall and I hear, "take my picture mom." On this same shopping trip, she asked when she was going to get to begin picking out her own clothes. Ummm I can't hear you.

This little lady on the other hand was pretty much born a shopper. If she passes it, she touches it. She ewwws and ahhhs. She absolutely loves everything about shopping. She was a kid in a candy store when she hit the Disney store. She wanted EVERYTHING!!!!!

I hope you dance
Three is such a fun, challenging, joyous, shake your head in disbelief, amazing, chaotic age. This little ladies personality has grown so much this year. She is a little chatter box and asks so many questions, so when she ran in and asked me, "Is it time to get ready for the dance?" I asked her what dance and she told me to hold on and ran away. She returned like this. Yes baby, dance away!

A week of FUN
Last week for us was one week of crazy. It was the girls final week of swimming lessons and Hadley had Camp Winshape. She absolutely loved it. Camp Winshape had her so pumped up, when Wayne picked her up on the first day, Wayne called me and said, "I don't know what they have done to this kid, but she is on FIRE!!!!" It was interesting as the week wore on you could see her getting grouchier and grouchier each day. She was exhausted, but having a blast. Friday was Family Fun Day. I took the day off and went to see what she had been doing all week.
When we signed her up for Camp, we told her she may not know anyone. She was okay with that, which I love. There ended up being a couple of people she knew and she made so many new friends too.
Sweet Katelyn, they use to go to Church with us.
Gathering up for song and lots of chants before they head in for the day of activities.
The first Skill Hadley participated in all week was Fast Food and it didn't mean the bad kind. In this Skill they taught the kids how to make foods that could be made quickly and were good for them. On the Family Fun Day, they allowed the kids to bring their own recipe and have a "cook off". Wayne found this summery recipe online, which Hadley named Fruity Crackers. A cracker, a strawberry, a kiwi and cream cheese dip.
I like this picture. I think I'm starting to figure this camera out a little.
And guess who won the coveted Golden Spoon with her concoction???? Ummm yep Hadley, BellBell will be so proud, following in her cooking footsteps for sure.
Hadley made knew friends too, Lara Beth who was older but she adored and Lara Beth adored her too. She asked if she could take Hadley home. Ask on the right day Lara Beth and she just might be yours.
This skill was Lights, Camera, Action and the kids made a movie. I don't know that I have ever seen Hadley light up more than when she came home each night and talked about her movie. Although, she wouldn't give away too much, she would cover her mouth quickly and say, "Can't tell you that, because ummm SPOLIER ALERT!" Precious, I have always said that one day we would hear and the Oscar goes to, HADLEY HARPER!!!!!
This skill is Girl World, where they learn about proper girl etiquette and manners. They make tutu's and crowns, but really more of the manners part.

These boots are gonna Walk all over you.
My draft folder holds hidden treasures. It is July 2013 and I found these from December. The girls are modeling boots that they got at Ellison's birthday celebration in Alabama. I also found the pictures from that party in draft, I posted that one back in November. You can check it out HERE.

On the Road AGAIN
The girls and I headed to Murfreesboro/Nashville to see these little girlies. Stacia and I were a little concerned about the two on the left ganging up on us. Comparing stories about the two, the seem to be cut from the same cloth. They all did great and get along so well. Ellison hung pretty tough, considering she didn't have any naps.
We took the girls to the Wild Horse Saloon which is very family oriented. The girls had a blast cutting a rug on the dance floor and even tried a little line dancing.
Cute idea for a picture, right....notice The Red Head in the back. She was mad because she didn't think she was in the picture. HILARIOUS!
Bellied up to the Bar.
Taking in the street below.
There was swimming too.
....and frogs. Such a missed opportunity for a candid video with the frog. One time when he got loose, he hit Ellison's foot and she squealed in terror/glee for several minutes. Another time he got loose and got stuck in Hadley's hair. She wigged out!!!!!

Get your Swim ON
Both girls just completed swim lessons for the summer. Ellison needed to get more comfortable in the water. If a drop got near her face she kind of freaked out. Hadley was able to keep herself afloat, but was pretty obsessed with floaties and the security they provide. If you tried to get her to go in the pool without them, she had a minor meltdown. Overall, it was a great success, however Red showed her stubborn side a time or five.

Raised A New
This little lady could not have been more excited for this night. I think she danced everywhere on this Sunday. At VBS two weeks prior she asked Jesus into her heart and on June 30, 2013 she was baptized.

Life is just beachy!
Wayne had his 20 Year High School Reunion a few weeks ago and we went to Alabama for the weekend. Since we were 3/4 of the way to the beach, we decided to take a mini vacation. So it was off to Panama City Beach for a fun filled four days. On the way down Wayne looked at the weather report and it looked like we were suppose to have rain every day, thankfully it was gorgeous. Slightly overcast each day, which made the temperature perfect.
I have a lot more pictures of Hadley on this trip. For some reason, she was being quite the little model. Not sure what got in to her, but she was even more of a glamour girl than usual.
Before our trip Nana Vicki gave the girls a bag full of goodies and in that bag were some colored bubbles. The beach is the perfect place for bright purple colored bubbles, because when the dye gets all over them, stick them in the ocean and you are good to go!!!
After the beach and dinner we thought we might take the girls out for some fun. Ellison took a good nap and we could hang out a little while longer before the princess had to go to bed, so we took them to race golf carts. They had fun...me in a golf cart in a dress not the best combination. I'm not sure how many people I flashed as I raced around the course...I'm sorry to all the families.
I asked for a picture from these two before they raced and this is what I got, Wayne's children for sure.
This sums her up so well. She marches to her own beat and makes her own rules. One way...??? Don't you mean My Way?
Still feeling like we had a little energy in us, we decided to go for PuttPutt while we were at it. We thought Ellison was old enough to enjoy it. It was really 17 holes too many for her. She lost interest after the first hole. She just ran to the end of each hole, grabbed our balls as soon as we hit them and tried to bring them back to us. Who needs to keep score when you are having fun!?!!
Our last day at the beach. Both girls got their first taste of a mild sunburn, we forgot to reapply when we were out the day before. I went and picked up Ellison a rash guard to give her some extra coverage. It is a total contrast against her tutu bathing suit, but I think it suits her perfectly.
