Blue, Green & White--RENEGADE

Sunday they had Family Day at the Park for the place Hadley takes Gym/Cheer.  The girls got to show off the routine they will be doing in their upcoming community perfomances and also, get pictures taken.  All I can say, is Oh my Word, what have I gotten myself in to.

This one gets words.  I was a good 30 feet away, she saw the camera pointed in her direction, and all of a sudden I get this pose

Carve it UP!!!

Hadley finally convinced her Daddy to carve their pumpkin last night.  She picked a cat.  She was suppose to get the design on the pumpkin from him.  Apparently she got a little bored, and quit.  When he took the paper off, part of the design was missing.

Umm, yea she tried to take her a big ol' break on this part.  She doesn't like anything gross.  Wayne told her if she didn't come help, he was quitting.  She reluctantly cleaned the pumpkins insides out.

While all the mad kitty fun was going on, guess what The Red Head was doing?  Night, night....yep.

The end result.

Party, Festival = Good Times

It's that time of year.  Party, time!!!  Fall Festival Time!!!  Thursday Ellison had her Fall Party at school.  Hadley picked Ellison's costume this year, she decided Els should be a pumpkin.  She was perhaps the moodiest jack o lantern, there has ever been.  I hope that it is a phase that she is going through and not an indication of a long term change in her disposition, because you never know which Ellison you are going to get from minute to minute.  It could also be all the medicine she has been on lately too.

This cracked me up, she looks so ill with me.  She didn't want me taking her picture, but got really upset if I tried to take any of her friends pictures.  At one point, she got up out of her seat and ran to me yelling, "No Mommy, NO!!!"  She didn't want me taking Emma's pictures for anything.

Her mood changed though, when they told her she could pull the paper off the tables.  The girl finds her version of heaven when she can go destructo mode.

Today concluded Drug Awareness week at school.  It was Hat Day.  Adding a hat to Had's ensemble only gave her a reason to pose even more than usual.

Tonight they also had their Fall Festival at the Bud.  This is Ellison on our way out the door, she "helped" me and handed me the camera.  When she handed it to me, she said "Mommy cheese."  That means.....

I get a picture with her looking at the camera.  She smiled, but my camera was too slow.  Typical.

Hula Hooping at the Festival.

This girl loves her animals.  She got to pet a rabbit, baby cow and goats.

Crazy Hair Day, Crazy Red Heads, Birthday Celebration

Hello.  Two nights in a row!!  WHOOT!! WHOOT!  This week is Drug Free Week at School and today's theme was use your head, Crazy Hair Day!  The Curly Haired Diva requested purple, blue and pink hair.  She had to settle for purple hair, when I discovered the spray was more than $2 a can.  She was happy.  We used our BellBell originals too.

Today is also, Wayne's Birthday.  We had a mini celebration and tip toed on egg shells around this little lady.  She threw the mother of all fits.  The entire event has me confused, because I am still unsure what got her so upset. I know she wanted me to pick her up, I was vacuming, I told her to wait and she LOST it.  Oh my heavens, I am pretty sure that she has hit the terrible twos.  Near the conclusion of the fit, I decided I would give her a bath, thinking it might calm her down.  WRONG.  There was one point, where she had a fist of my hair in each hand and she was attached to my head like a red haired spider monkey.  I still have no clue how I got her removed.  Bringing her down was a very slow process.

On to the Birthday boy.  Happy Birthday Bay, hope you had a great day!!!!

One summary coming up

So I think I might have conquered the computer/picture challenges.  I was really excited and started out October determined I was going to do a better job of blogging.  Well.....that lasted a couple of days.  Cut to a good two weeks later and here we be, here we be.  So Friday a week ago, I picked Ellison up from school and she had developed this horrible cough, from out of no where.  Saturday morning when she got up for school, it was like Stevie Nicks had taken over her body.  Awesome, but pitiful at the same time.  So off to the doctor we went .  While we were going, we took Hadley too.  She had been doing this dramatic sniffle thing for the last two weeks.  I mean granted if she didn't it would have been gross, but those that know Hadley, know she isn't going to quietly take care of a runny nose.  Both had sinus infections, just different symptoms.  Yeah.  So we are now more than a week later and Hads is better, Ellison still has a nasty cough.  It appears we will be making another trip back to the doctor, consipiracy.....yes Mrs. Harper, we would like two co-pays.

The below picture is from two Sundays ago.  Ellison looks like such a sweet little princess in her frilly dress and sparkly shoes.  The Red Head loves her shoes.

So this weekend was crazy.  Saturday morning I went and volunteered at the Special Olympics.  It was my first event and it was pretty cool.  We had planned on Wayne taking the girls, but it was a little cold, so they stayed home at the last minute, we didn't want to get Ellison out since she still had the Stevie Nicks thing going on.  I would love to have taken Hadley with me and wish that I would have, I wasn't sure what I was going to be doing.  If I had known I would be helping with awards and there would be time in between to cheer on the competitors I totally would have taken her with me.  She would have loved it.  Then Saturday evening we had family/Ellison two year old pictures.  I can not wait to see them, I am so excited.  Christy totally had to work it with Ms. Ellison, she is such a challenge, little stinker.  She wouldn't pose for anything.

It was a wild, but great day.

I snapped a couple of pictures on our way to Church this morning.  After the crazy day yesterday, we went really casual to Church today, the clothes were already ironed.  I was so LAZY.

Ellison, where is your mouth.  Trying our best to get a smile, instead we get a hard time.

Hey if you want me to show you my mouth, how about my tongue.  Total ham, Wayne Harper, III.

Do you think I'm cute?

Ellison, we are going to get you out of the chair and we want you to lean against it.  Right, again she is really not in to pictures.  Not quite what I had in mind.

And finally the curly haired DIVA, who never meets a camera, she doesn't love!!!!!

Did someone say pumpkins?

We made our annual trip to Burt's Pumpkin Farm today.  The girls looked adorable in their BellBell originals.  They got several compliments on their little outfits, yes they have their own exclusive stylist.  The girls had a great time at the pumpkin farm and then after, we went to the Falls and had a picnic lunch.  It was a good morning.  We got there at 8:30 this morning and they were already letting people in.  We had the opportunity to get pictures without strange legs and bellies in the background.  What would have made it even nicer would have been if the red head would have been looking at me in just a couple of them.  She was so moody today.  I couldn't get a smile for anything.  At one point I asked Wayne if she would look back at this time in her childhood and wonder if she was depressed.  I'm pretty sure I could have stood on my head and spun in circles and I wouldn't have  gotten a reaction from her.

I know this picture is of the back of them, but I love the coloring.  Ellison's bottom looks like one of the pumpkins and Ellison's head blends right in with the pumpkins.

I want this one right here, okay??

Our little pumpkin in a sea of pumpkins.

Discovering a love of boiled peanuts.  She is addicted, a true southerner.

The lone smile of the trip, so cheesy.

Promptly followed by one of several moments where she was trying to convey her opinion, rather loudly.
