So she really is the devil. She came into the kitchen to a get a pencil. I just assumed she was practicing her writing.......W.R.O.N.G....she was coloring with a P.E.N.C.I.L!!!!!! She looked like she lived in a dumpster!!!! AGHH I would say her activity level keeps me young, but that would be a big FAT lie....I am aging like nobody's business because of this one.

A shopping we will go
So I typically do all my shopping early. Except one thing. Last year Wayne took Hadley and I took Ellison the week before Christmas, we gave them $20 and let them pick out presents for their sister. A sweet time for them to think about someone other than themselves and for Wayne and I to get one on one time with the girls. This year we switched and Wayne took Els and I took Hads. Right before we left, we had the girls sit down with the price range in mind and make a list of things they would like that weren't on their Santa list. I think this is definitely a tradition we will continue, both girls seemed to really enjoy it.

The show must go on!!!
So I have to admit I was a little sad for this performance. She has been singing these songs at the top of her lungs for the last month and knowing it would be her last Christmas program in preschool, which meant it would be my last as well, made me a little sad. Her first set, she rocked, sang, danced, the whole nine yards. Then when they paused to bring in the 2 year olds, she wanted to come down and hug me...I couldn't let her because well I would get in trouble, I'm sure it would cause chaos with all the kiddos.
So this is what happened in the second set, yep she wouldn't look at me, she wouldn't sing, nothing...she was really mad.
She finally turned around, but she wouldn't smile.
She then smiled...
...and then as it was ending I got the duck face and peace sign.
It was a great show, until I went to her room to tell her what a great job she did, get a hug and tell her bye. She already had her jacket in her hand, she thought she was leaving. Fail....this is her milking it with Ms. Christina....little stinker.

It's PARTY time
It's party time...I could only stay for a few minutes, but I dropped by this chick a dee's Christmas party. She didn't understand why I couldn't stay and asked if after my meeting, I could come back and "party" with her. Her words....this one is all about the parties!!!!
The other red head in her class...didn't want her picture taken, but so precious!!!
Parties in 2013 even for 4 years olds, must have electronics!!!!!
We love Ms. Holly!!!

Good Habits
I found her like this the other day...in the dark, reading by the light of the Christmas tree. This girl really likes to ready. I bought her two books recently and she had them both read within a matter of days and was asking for more. My wallet may not be able to keep up with her habit.

HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
We made our annual trek to visit Santa, it was fairly quick and uneventful...quick because the line wasn't long and also because we had a very narrow window to get back to the house to watch Auburn play in the SEC Championship....Merry Christmas to all :)
Els talked a big game, when we got there, she was going first and she was going to fight Hadley and Wayne to go first, when she got to the head of the line and it was her turn, that all kind of changed and big sis went first. After big sis went, they took a picture together and she was good to go. She sweetly told Santa what all she wanted with her hands up to her mouth. He kept trying to pull her hands away so he could hear her. Once she got done, we got the sweetest little smile.

Fedora's and Christmas Bells
Hadley had a hand bell performance the other morning at School. They had a whole breakfast with Santa theme and Mrs. Claus red stories.
I'm not sure how a fedora hat says Christmas attire to Hadley, but she was insistent that she wear it. These days there are some battle we just let go. Twenty years from now, she will look back at these pictures and wonder why she is the only third grader whose parents put a fedora on her and we will have to remind her, it was you.....all YOU!!!!

An Elfing jammie good time
The girls got an Elf....they named her Lilly....she has been getting into quite at lot. The same night Lilly joined us, they got their Christmas jammies from BellBell, they were so excited about the jammies and then Lilly arrived and they were pretty pumped up. I didn't have any trouble getting smiles for bed.

The War Eagle Birthday Party
On our Thanksgiving trek to Alabama, we were going to have a birthday celebration for the Red Head with Family and Friends. Well....it just so happened that we had the celebration on the day of The Iron Bowl....so we decided to have her an Auburn party. She immediately wanted to know where the purple and princesses were....he he he!!! Blue and Orange and War Eagle not her first choice!!!
The two, peace out Alabama!!!! WAR EAGLE BABY!!!!
Sometimes when you are little and Red Headed, things just don't go the way you want them to when you are playing with the big kids.
These two never miss a BEAT!
She was suppose to be playing cars with BellBell, she was trying to multitask and watch TV...no shocker there!
Must have been a commercial break.
