A terrific trio

The terrific trio.  This past Wednesday I went on a field trip with Hadley's class to the aquarium.  Always a gluten for punishment, I chaperoned.  When Mrs. Smith, told me I would have Hadley and two other little girls in my charge (her BFF's), I immediately envisioned all kinds of girl drama.  I mean we know girls don't get along in odd numbers, right?  These three little ladies compliment each other so well.  There wasn't one stitch of girl drama, tattling or picking one friend over another.  They were so motherly towards each other.  My only problem was one was a wanderer and three of us kept having to reel her back in or herd her in the direction we wanted her to go.

This shocked me, but she didn't hesitate.

My favorite part of the trip was when the two little girls started speaking Spanish to each other and Hadley rolled her eyes.  I told Hadley she needed to pay attention, so he could learn and one of the little girls let me know that Hadley didn't pay attention when they tried to teach her, she just talked over them.  Yep, that sounds about right.

Summer to the MAX

This past Sunday, we had our Spring wear ready.  The maxi dress is going to be BIG again this summer.  They are now making them in little girls sizes.  I think it makes Hadley look a good 5 years older.  She loved it, she acted like she was a good 10 years older.  The second picture says it all for the red head.  That sparkle of mischief you see in her eye...... it is there all the time!!!!!!  and there is usually action going on behind it.

Little Miss MisMatch

Two girls is sometimes like playing dress up with your Barbie dolls.  Hadley still lets me pick out her clothes, but I have a feeling this one is going to be my shopping partner.  She loves giving me her input on her outfits and these silver shoes, they got her out of bed in a good mood.  Be still my heart.  She is my child.

Spring appears to have sprung

The Spring weather sprung early and we didn't have any clothes to wear.  Thankfully, we still had a few outfits from last summer hanging in the closet and they fit.  Weekend before last, I spent the better part of the weekend, purging the closets, washing clothes, putting up clothes and figuring out what we were still missing.  Then getting all the purged clothes ready for an upcoming consignment sale.  About 3 hours into the consignment sale prep, I wished I hadn't begun, but I had too much time in at that point to bail.  9 hours later, I was DONE!    I am now waiting on my check to see if it was worth my 9 hours!

We take our silly faces seriously

Puny has been the theme for me this weekend.  I have gotten absolutely nothing accomplished.  The couch and I have been one.  I have not been this puny in a really long time.  Sinus junk go away!  Of course the girls have started hacking and sneezing too, welcome Spring. 

A couple of nights ago, I got the girls ready to go to Church with Wayne.  I pulled out a cute little dress which had been handed down to Hadley and then Els.  I loved the colors on Els with her red hair and wanted to take a couple of pictures.  Ummm yeah, she was wearing the dress....

Then sister wanted to get in on the act.  I got one serious one and then it all went downhill from there.

Right before I had enough, I told them to show each other love....aww they can be sweet to each other.

Let's Eat...

A theme for the week was taking pictures of all the delicious new food I got to try out.  Simple things we don't have here were my favorites, but the desserts were awesome too!!!

Mastro's, best meal ever.  Not only was the food good, but they made you feel like a million bucks.

My first Hawaiian steak (that I remember), it was pretty good.  I was a little unsure about the seeds.

Walking the Red Carpet

The first night we were in California, we went out to eat with the vendor we were there to see.  I got to walk the red carpet on Oscar night, bahaha!!!  The next day we were hard "hat it"!

It was a work trip, so we didn't get to do a lot of sight seeing but we did get to do a little.  The atrium at our hotel, The Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Downtown Disneyland, and the view from our plane on our way home.  

Snugglin'

Snuggling with my big girl before I left for my trip.  I sure did miss her and her sister.  Hadley had been to Alabama for a week before, but she was only 5 hours away if I needed to get to her.  Ellison, I had only been away from for two nights before.  It sure was a long week.  I enjoyed my trip, but there weren't any of these snuggles.  Wayne informed me when I got back that this little lady is a Mama's Girl, ummm yeah I already knew that!

Whew, go GOOGLE

Wow!!!  It has been so long since I blogged.  We are going Goggle at work, which just caused me quite a bit of grief here trying to get into my blog.  See when I set up my blog 3 years ago, I used my work email address because Wayne had used our home address on his school blog.  Google didn't like that.....  I have been singing the praises of Google at work, because all the features are so cool.  I thought I was going to have to retract all that, when my blog called for me to create a new userID for my personal stuff.  Alas, that is not the case.  It was painless, I still think google rocks!!!!!!

So I thought a few random iphone pictures would get us up to date.

This is my budding fashionista, she has definite opinions about her wardrobe.  Such a character this one, I can't wait to see  how her fashion sense evolves, it appears she is going to be quite adventurous.  I always appreciate someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously, no?

My Valentine's present.  LOVE.  Individual birthstone rings for the girls.  I thought when they get old enough, I would give each of them their own ring.  I led Wayne a little bit, but love them.

So I recently ran another 5K.  Still can't say I love running, but I enjoy the thrill of stepping out of my box!!!  I bettered my time by almost two minutes.  I'm working on Wayne, trying to get him to sign up for one!!!

The fashionista again.  I think when she gets older she is going to be my Bball playing girlie girl.  She is rough and tough, but likes her some fashion!

Picture Day!  The original fashionista!  She loves a fun outfit, but she could care less about putting it together herself.  So funny the differences.

However, she will throw you for a loop at bedtime.  She loves to dress up for dreamland.  It is funny it was almost 80 the day she felt the need to wear mittens to bed.

This one discovered a love of suckers at Charlie Joe's birthday party.  She was so funny smacking her little lips.

Shopping at Gap before my trip, I saw this???  Seriously, what happened to the slim and regular fit?  Hadley is now a fit?  Umm, my Hadley doesn't fit into any definition.
