Trick or Treatin' in our new HOOD

Instead of dressing up for Halloween at the girls school, they have always had what they call book character day.  This years book had a pirate theme.  She did not want to participate and then she did and then she didn't....because she thought she looked silly.  Bless her, life with the Red Head is never dull.

Once we got home, we were no longer a Pirate, we were a Super Girl with our trusty Genie sidekick.  Although, our Genie didn't stay a Genie very long.  It was exactly what she asked for, but she was not thrilled with how it turned out....watch what happens...

Super Girl was thrilled with her costume and posed away for me.

Els and our neighbor Audrey, ready for some trick or treaters.

And our Genie is gone....in it's place.........

Hadley......

Trick or treating around the hood our first year....Walt had been storing the golf cart at our house, so we took it for a spin.  It made trick or treating super easy, given all the traffic.

This girl was giddy, I mean Super Girl was flying between the houses collecting her loot.

After we hit up all the houses, we hung out at Corey and Lindsay's, where Hads helped Hil pass out some candy.

Then Els took a turn....

Sunday Funday

Another one of Wayne's creations.  We bought a piece of wood when we were junkin' one day and found the horse head hangers during the same outing.  I was pretty thrilled with how it turned out.

I wanted to take her picture before Church, she wanted the basketball in the picture.  I had to convince her to let me snap a few pictures without the basketball.  Although, I have to say the ones with the basketball are my FAVS.

Screenshot of my big girl at Fall Retreat.

After Church I took Els to a birthday party.  Wayne had warned me about the terrifying dog that two days before had made him retreat to his truck when he tried to drop off cookie dough.  I am 100% serious, he was terrified.  I couldn't resist snapping this picture of the big baby licking me to death....absolutely precious.  Apparently, if the owners aren't home, he is a legit guard dog, like beared teeth, growling, the whole 9 yards.  However, if his people are home and you are invited, he is playful and welcoming.  Wayne couldn't believe it was the same dog.

After Church that night, we came home and carved our pumpkins.

And got ready for the next night.

Our Junkin' Buddy

Sister is away at Fall Retreat, so it was just us and the red head.  I don't know that she was completely thrilled with her one on one time to begin with.  We took her junkin'!  An Auburn sign put a smile on her face though.

Trying to get her to cheer up...her crazy Mama taking silly selfies at lunch.  She was not amused.

Another antique store, another Auburn sign.  This girl loves her Tigers.

Cheered her right up though when we got home.  I let her get her paint on and she was in her happy place.  She loves to get artsy.

After she got her art on, she promptly assumed her next favorite position.

My girl

Just a girl hanging out in a tree, by a cross.   Such a cute little monkey.

Crazy Hair don't care

She cracks me up.  If it makes her look silly, she usually doesn't want to participate, so she surprised me when she wanted to participate in crazy hair and crazy sock day.  Now keep in mind, she wanted her crazy hair to still be sporting her signature side pony, so we had to get a little creative.

My Handy Man

Check out my mirror and door Wayne made me....I'm so excited.  I mean he is kind of handy, I might keep him around.

Auburn vs Arkansas

Wayne had tennis but that didn't stop us girls from heading to our favorite town to watch the Tigers play ball.  These two right here, we weren't there 5 minutes and they were snuggled up loving on each other.

They then moved on to some puzzle work.

My cuties on the way into the ballgame.

Before we even got to our seats, she had to have her favorite treat, nevermind it was already getting quite chilly.

Post game silly selfies with my big girl.

A late night visit to the Doughnut shop...because why not?

Back in the condo, working on the puzzle, finishing out the night celebrating our win over Arkansas.  Hadley was quite pumped she could go back and brag to her weight lifting coach who was a huge Arkansas fan!
