Awana grow up....

My picture taking is getting more and more slack.  We had our end of the year program for Awana and I only managed to snap a couple of pictures.  Both girls finished their books and received clubber of the year awards.

This was Hadley's last year in Awana, she is on to youth now.

You know, just reflecting on the girls growing up..

After the ceremony, we rode out to Lori's to pick something up.  Ellison got to play with the bunnies.  She wants a bunny....no bunnies Ellison!!!!!

I missed this field trip, but I was sent a couple of snaps of my girl.  It was her final Field Trip of Elementary school and they just went to the park to play.

Wayne had these sent to him...seems someone hacked their teachers' phone and had a little phone.  Rachel is a sweet friends and apparently as much of a ham as Hadley.  Their faces are priceless!!

Heading to the MIDDLE

We must now say goodbye to Elementary school....5th Grade Graduation.  All grown up and ready to move on up to middle school

On the way to 5th grade graduation, the 5th graders walk the halls lined with other students and their parents.  This was my kid, she walked the whole way like this....I would say she was hamming it up for the camera, but that is her 24/7.  Another parent posted it on insta and I had to screenshot it, because it is so her.

They asked the parents to submit baby pictures for the 5th grade slide show.  All the years spent documenting Hadley's life in photos and in a crunch when I needed to get to those photos, I couldn't get to them.  They external hard drive and CD's they were stored on, were all packed up and in boxes.  Which boxes those were, I had know clue!  I love my girl, but digging through all those boxes wasn't a feat I was interested in udertaking, so I was able to lay hands on two pictures, and I gave her a choice.  One was a serious shot and the other was a flat out hysterical expression she use to make....she opted for.......

After the ceremony all the parents went back to the room and took pictures and visited.

I'm a MUDDER

The flyer came home and unlike last year, she said nothing about the Mud Run, so I thought we were free and clear...alas that was not the case.  Literally a last minute entry with this one.  Wayne called when school let out to let me know they were going.

Say goodbye Kindergarten

Kindergarten Graduation...she insisted on wearing her boots and her jean shorts.  Now granted these jean shorts are longer than the hoochie ones she wanted to wear, but she picked her clothes.

We Be TRIPPIN'

The final field trip of Kindergarten!!!  I can't believe it's the last one.  I usually sit the park field trip out, but true to Ellison fashion, I'm not allowed to sit anything out.  So I met her class at the park for a morning of play.  The field trip is in May and it had been being warmish...not cold by any means.  I get to the park and the wind is blowing and it is freezing.  Probably not freezing if you are in it for 5 minutes, but after about 20 minutes I knew I wasn't going to be able to stand another 3 hours and Els needed sleeves....the Mama Bear in me said so.  Being that we live in town now and the park is literally 5 minutes from the condo, I hopped in my vehicle and off I went.  I grabbed her some sleeves (wanted to grab her pants, but she refused and I decided sleeves was enough of a win) and me a sweater.  We could then enjoy a morning of play and memory making, such a great Kindergarten year!!!!
