Birthday Show

My little birthday girl.  I don't remember my Mom or any one's Mom bringing snack on their birthday when I was in school.  It is a must now though and little diva had some opinions.  She wanted yellow Belle cupcakes for the girls and chocolate cupcakes for the boys, because brown is a boy color.  She also requested a staple in her life, Cheetos...girl can get down with some Cheetos.  One of the kids asked where the hats were and I had to tell her I don't do hats, no hats.  They had some extras from other parties so the kids all have on a mishmash of hats...super.

It was Friday, so after her birthday snack, they had show in tell.  Els wanted to stay show off her giraffe, who had to be suffering an identity crisis, because before the day was through I think he had been renamed 47 different times.  The kids were hysterical, how proud and shy they were at the same time as they were telling about each one of their items.

EYE OF THE TIGER

Ellison pretty much dictates what is played on the car radio on the way to school each day.  It's usually Taylor Swift, Katie Perry or Hunter Hays.  However, after she recently became obsessed with Katie Perry's song Roar I decided to introduce her to the original Eye of the Tiger.  She now wants it played on constant loop, the other morning she was so insistent and so upset when I wouldn't, she rode 20 miles in the car like this.  At least she knows good music.

It's Love

The girls want a puppy so badly.  They have been asking for one forever...the problem is we have 5 mouths to feed other than our human 4 and that aint cheap and it's a little crowded in our cozy home.  So Ellison has started telling everyone they are getting a dog, when we get our new house.  Problem is we haven't sold our current house, it isn't even on the market.  Chica's chances of a puppy anytime soon are slim to none.  So you can imagine how excited these girls were when their BellBell brought her new puppy Ginger (GinGin).  They carried her alot, I think Ginger might have forgotten how to walk.

STUPID CAMERA

I like a good impromptu visit...no change that to love....you know what I don't like one little bit??  When my camera goes wonky in the middle of the visit and we lose all evidence of their visit except for two iphone pictures to serve as proof that we saw them!!!  Not happy, not happy AT ALL.  I mean folks we don't get to see them that often....I need the pictures!!!

We met Matt, Nikki and Wyatt in Rome at Berry College.  We walked trails and let the kids run like crazy people while we chatted, caught up and looked at deer.

And then someone was done and we didn't listen and this happened.

COATRACK

Hadley had a friend spend the night a couple weeks ago.  Ellison wasn't really thrilled about the idea, she wants one of her friends to spend the night too.  Since she wasn't getting to have anyone spend the night, she decided she was staying with her KeKe and girls, except she wasn't....she just said she was.  Wayne decided that we go to Steak N Shake then a movie.  I can't even remember what movie it was Hadley made us go see...I'm sitting her racking my brain and I'm drawing a blank...how sad is that?  So the girlies before the movie...Red kind of got over the whole not having a friend thing and decided to hang with the big chicas.  Wayne supplied these girlies with more sugar and junk food than they should see in a lifetime...milkshakes, popcorn, sodas and smuggled in movie candy oh me, I feel sick just thinking about it.

So Saturday morning, we are getting Grace ready to go home and I hear Grace hollar, "coatrack?"....like over and over.  I'm thinking what is wrong with this girl, Wayne explains that when they left school on Friday, he eneded up carrying all their stuff...then he shows me this......Grace nicknamed him coatrack.  He has finally found his calling.

Every morning

One morning before school...although it could be titled every morning before school.  She sports more sass in her little body.

Comfort is in the eye of the beholder

She is my little snuggle bug, but she can get in some contorted sleeping positions.  One day I will have enough for a book.  Her positions never look comfortable.

In the Stands...but not a fan

Daddy played in the a tennis tournament recently for the State Championship.  We went to show our support and watch....ahem....be present.  This is what Hads thought of the match.

Then there was a German Shepard puppy and, they were all like "we want a puppy, forget about daddy!!!"

It was really a sweet puppy, but they totally aren't getting a dog.

They might have gotten a little attitude after I told them for the 100th time they were getting said DOG!!!!

I'd rather smell feet

So I'm not really a fan of Halloween, but my girls are.  I put off ordering costumes as long as I could, then we got an invite to a Halloween party, which meant we would be in a neighborhood and their Daddy would take them around to a couple houses, so we could say, "we trick or treated."  All that to say, if we were going to do that, we had to have costumes.  Ellison wanted to be no less than 75 different things, finally settling on Izzy, Hadley say the Rocky from Shake it Up Costume and was totally in.

Hads and one of her favorites, Ms. Heather.

Ellison and Baby Sawyer, she loves him...he thinks she's crazy....he is right!!!!

The girls were content to pass out candy on the porch of the party we went to.  I was fine until they started meeting the trick or treaters closer and closer to the road, in the dark shadows.  Mama was a little nervous!!!

HO HO HO before the Gobble

Santa may already be in the mall, but we haven't even had Thanksgiving yet.  We do have to go paint or yearly Christmas ornaments by the deadline, so off we went to celebrate the season, before the season!!!  The girls love it though and I love that they look forward to it as a tradition.  Although, Els was none too happy about having to leave her ornament so they could fire it.

This little Piggie...

Meet out Pig, Wilbur.  Isn't he/she cute?  Halloween at school they had a character parade in each grade, where the kids got to dress up from a book they were reading.  Third grade's book, Charlotte's Web.  I can not tell you how excited this little lady was to be a pig, you would have thought it was an outfit of sequins and rhinestones, every day leading up to it, "I'm so excited, I can't wait to dress up?"  EVERY DAY!!!!!

My little Pirate

This one right here was Izzy from Jack and the Neverland Pirates for Halloween.  Pretty sure her costume was chosen on the fact that it was pink and purple alone.  She was a cutie though!!!!

This is the BOYFRIEND, she wanted her picture made with him, but was a little embarassed once I went to take the picture.

I don't like it!!!

I don't like it...I mean I really don't like it.  Now I haven't tried it, but I don't really like it.  It was crazy familiar and took me back about 30 years.  She got up a couple times to go to the "bathroom" and I was sure she had figured out my trick, but alas she really did use the bathroom....I was somewhat disappointed I thought maybe she had a little of my creativity, but not yet.  I broke out the camera to take a picture of her pitiful face and she busts out the dimples and a pose...Yep...she is a mess.

A Poser and a 'Tuder!

I heart this little poser.  She is loving the camera.  This was the other morning before Church and that little leg was bent before I ever had my finger on the button to take her picture.  She is wanting to let her hair grow out.  I'm guessing she is copying her sister.  The sad thing is as it grows it becomes very clear that it won't be staying this beautiful shade of Red much longer.  We might strike some middle ground with a Strawberry Blonde, but one side of her head has already really turned.

There is this little lady too, I thought we had a few more years before we hit the pre teen attitude eye rolls and huffs and puffs.....but they are here now and she isn't as willing to have her picture taken....unless it is something she wants....OY!

RUNNER RUNNER

A friend at work is an avid runner and he started a 12 week running group with several of our co workers.  At the end of the 12 weeks we ran a 5K and I ran with them.  I couldn't have felt worse, by nose was like a faucet pouring for 3.1 miles.  Georgia = bad sinus stuff.  I hate it.
