Bless our after school activities keep us on the go most every night of the week. So a rare occasion where we are home at a decent hour, it's no surprise that this little lady wiped out on the couch watching TV.

Birthdays, Boys and Building
My little red head is 5. How can it be? At her school on your birthday, you can have lunch on the stage with a parent and a friend you pick. Ellison picked her boyfriend....yep you read that right her boyfriend. They were absolutely precious. I five years ago I would be chaperoning a lunch date with my sweet bundle of joy, I would have thought you were crazy, but that is exactly what happened.
A new twist on peace sign and duck face!
After lunch, we went back to her classroom and had birthday cupcakes. Blue for FROZEN!!!
That night for her birthday we took her to Build a Bear and let her pick out her favorite My Little Pony and bring her to life...of course she picked Applejack.
Putting her heart and scent in.
Getting her ready to stuff.
Stuffing Applejack.
Giving Applejack her first bath.
Registering her.
Ready to take Applejack with us, she is SO HAPPY
For her dinner pick we went to Red Lobster and then had FROZEN cake. I love this little grin, absolutely gorgeous.
That night I snuck in their room as I often do, because I love me some sleeping babies and Applejack was tucked in with her red head, in her arms.

I like PIG BUTTS
I recently went on a girls getaway....we went to the .....woods...yes we will just say the woods, because truth be told I'm still not really sure where we were. All I know is it was the boonies...the heat didn't work in the cabin, Lori Lynn tried to get it to work for over 3 hours. It was by far the coldest weekend we have had to date with temps in the 20's and we all froze for those 3 hours. It was pretty miserable, but we have csme great memories from that trip. Even when girl time doesn't go as planned, don't get stressed....just laugh!!!! Us Mama's have to laugh!!!!
A plate of the largest yummiest chick parm at a pizza joint on the way into the boonies!!!
The crew the morning after the trip to the coldest most remote cabin in the world. We have all had about 4 hours of sleep at this point in the most fabulous Holiday Inn Express the Lord ever did make.
We decided to head back home and stopped in this delish BBQ joint, I think we were in Blue Ridge....I love the saying on this shirt!!!!
After yummy BBQ, we did a little shopping....I kind of love this sign...how true it is!!!!
The crew looking a little fresher than our elevator selfie!
Goodies to take home to my peeps!
I sent this picture to Wayne and he wanted me to go back and get them...he was too late!

ARTWORK ON THE WALLS
I got this picture in a text from one of Wayne's co workers, who also happens to have a son who is in Ellison's class and one of her peeps. Seems Ms. Dana let Ellison channel her decorating skills at school, since I curbed them at home. Wonder if the banana is still hanging here?!?!?!?!?

I don't care what she said....it's MINE
I bought a Chick fil A calendar from a friend as a fundraiser. Ellison was suppose to give it to me for her. However, Lori told Ellison she could have it.....Ellison took that to mean she could decorate with it....ummm Lori we need to talk!!!

BOYS BOYS BOYS!!!!!
So Red is a little boy crazy, okay a lot boy crazy. One morning, she left Wayne's room and walked down to Mrs. Smith's room. She asked if Aiden could walk with her to the holding room. Wayne walked out of the teachers workroom, to this coming at him. The story is that Aiden asked if she would hold his hand and she said yes. We aren't so sure she wasn't the initiator. They both look VERY comfortable with this situation.

Auburn Friends
This girlies final Auburn game of the season....Hads didn't want to go to this one either. This little lady is such a trooper, she just goes wherever we drag her all over campus, never complains. We took a break walking to the stadium and her and Wayne laid under the trees and looked at the clouds.
This is how Ellison does winter games, she busts out her hooded Aubie and wears it basically the whole game.
She really doesn't meet a stranger. So she is up, she is cheering, she is waving her shakers...third quarter couple in front of us get up and leave, open seat....boom this one takes over and begins to chat up a young lady (Carly) in front of us. She shared several family secrets with her, Wayne's age...that she (Ellison) had two boyfriends...you name it. Before we left she was hugging her bye. Instant friends...according to Carly's best friend who was with her at the game, these two are two peas in a pod. She said Carly doesn't meet a stranger either...I guess Ellison knows her people. My favorite is the look on the ladies face in the row in front of her...whatever Ellison is sharing she is enjoying also.

I LOVE SURPRISES!!!!!
Someone turned the BIG 40 IN October...nope note me.....not this year and not next year!!!! Mr. Wayne....yep him!!!! He was out of town on his actual birthday, so I conspired for a late celebration. I got a yummy Auburn cake from the Honeymoon Bakery in Rome, surprised him with a pedicure, then surprised him with dinner at his favorite place, J Alexander's and had his bestest peeps surprise him too!!!!

Honey we need to discuss your child?
This came home in Hadley's back pack. It struck me as quite as amusing, since Wayne is her teacher and Wayne is the one that sent it home with her. I asked if we could just conference at home, over the dinner table maybe???

50's meets Batgirl
Halloween isn't real high up there on my list of holidays I willingly celebrate. However, that trait didn't pass on to my girls. I had a 50's girl who looked gorgeous in her glasses, can not get over how mature she looks.
Love their little personalities and how unique they are.
Then Ellison finally settled on Batgirl. She is a crazy combination of batgirl and my little pony.
Love their little personalities and how unique they are.

Jacked up
So Hadley's teeth are kind of jacked up for lack of a better word. Sadly, she gets this from me...I have spent more hours in a dentist chair than I would ever be able to count to and it appears this little lady is headed in the same direction. She got her Phase 1 part 1 braces in October. She gets her lowers in a couple of months. These are just moving teeth around making as much room as possible for her other teeth, she will probably still have to have them again later to straighten them up. Bless her long road.

GIRLS night
Hads had a friend spend the night back a few weeks ago, Wayne was out of town so we just made a girls night of it. First, we went to dinner, where our waiter was Hadley's former gym teacher who worked her booty off and she hid from him because she was scared!!!! HYSTERICAL!
Then we went to Dunkin Donuts...which is now OPEN in our town...it's like manna from HEAVEN!!!! 7 different kinds of giddy was this Mama we have been counting down until it opened!!!!
Then we got goodies so we could pack our shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.
I let the girls decorate the tops of the shoeboxes and they both wrote sweet little notes. Which was interesting because they were fighting like cats and dogs.
Then Hadley asked if she could wrote a special note for the inside and it made me smile....like a lot!
Then the night rounded out with a rousing game of headbandz under a fort.

Plans for October 31st
I love her artwork, I take pictures of my favorites and this is definitely one of them. She always has red crayon hair when she draws herself which I love. This one is my favorite because somehow we were going to The Baxter's which we always do and all the way to Alabama...which is 5 hours away. No concept of time yet for the red head.

Don't fear failure..
I was able to participate in United Way's Day of Service this year, my project was titled GIRL POWER. We wrote a favorite quote in the book GIRL POWER and those would then be placed in the free libraries throughout the community.

Who needs a pillow pet?
We are currently going through a very loud disfunctional time in these sisters' relationship. They are at very different stages and have VERY different personalities. So when I happen upon these moments, they fill my heart with such joy and hope that they might be functional loving sisters to each other one day :). It was bedtime and I went to tell them it was time to turn in and I found this....let's just say they bought themselves a few extra minutes. I coudn't bear to make them stop.

Hard working girlies
I've been on the hunt for Hadley a community service project and I finally found her one. Girlfriend loves to read, that is no secret so when I heard about a program through Readers for Leaders that places donated books in local businesses, it sounded perfect for her. The books are for the kiddos to read while they are there and if they take the books with them great, it is encouraging children to read that may not have access to books. Hadley straigtens the book shelf then puts a good stock of books out to supply that month.
Ellison loves to help anybody do anything, so she is the official assistant.
After they worked so hard stocking books, I took them for a surprise treat. I haven't ever taken them both together before and we defintely don't go very often, so they were super excited for a little mani and pedi.
