Stylin' and Profilin'

Our town has an event called Boogie & Blues, every spring.  We have heard about it for years, but I figured since we were in town this year, we should go enjoy it.  The girls were only interested in the funnel cake.  Any fair or event, the first question is, "where is the funnel cake?"

The girlies hanging out with Hadley's bestie, Bek.  Bek hadn't seen our new temporary home yet, so this was Hadley's first sleepover at the new digs!

After Boogie & Blues which was warm to say the least, we decided to hit up the movies.  We needed to cool off!

We were stylin' the next morning for Church, so we had to snap a few pictures.  Let me tell you, The Red Head was not happy about this dress.  Wayne laughed at me when I was ironing it and asked if I was really wanting to pick THAT battle.  He knew it was not going to over well.  Hadley use to let me dress her in all this pretty smocked outfits with big bows.  Ellison on the other hand, put a stop to that for herself after 3.  All those pretty hand me downs, skipped right over Ellison.  Somehow this dress didn't get given away and I decided on this particular morning, I got to pick what she wore.

Note, Hadley's shoes, those are MY shoes....she has started raiding my closet... I love my shoes and I don't think I'm ready to share!

Ellison thinks Bek is her person, not Hadley's.

Family Dinner

It's not often we get to see Wayne's younger sister, Aunt Liz, so when she was going to be in Atlanta.  We went up and had dinner with Wayne's family.  My two posers, they loved the restaurant, there was a live singer and people on the dance floor getting down.  Red even convinced her Daddy to take her for a spin on the dance floor.

George

These two are night and day different.  One is all huggy and affectionate and the other is all, give me my space and leave me alone.  I'll let you decide which is which.

We were at Waffle House just the girls and I.  Usually Ellison wants to sit by me, but on this particular day, she wanted to sit by her sister.  Little did I know it was to aggravate her.  As soon as she started hugging her it made me think of the cartoon, "I will name him George, I will hug him, and pet him and squeeze him."

Love these girls and how different they are!

A whole herd of you

In preparation of our house selling, we had to find a home for BIG MAN.  He has only know two pastures his whole life and the last year, without his Mama, he has been a little sad.  Little does he know he will soon know a whole new life with a herd of friends.

Waiting on his ride to come pick him up and take him to his new ride, I let him munch on some fresh grass.

Sale Pending!!!!!

At his new home in the temporary pen getting acquainted with his new pasture mates.

He was playing hard to get, he wasn't interested in their attempts at making friends.

We kept him in a little pen for a few days so they could get use to each other before turning him out to the full pasture.

The first few days in the full pasture were kind of rough, he didn't want any part of us and wouldn't eat.

It took a lot of coaxing and time for him to come to his bucket.

STOP..What do you mean the weekend is over?

On the way home from Church, I wanted to take her picture because she looked so grown up and she was in one of her Red Headed moods and blocked her face.  My picture taking wasn't part of her plan, so she wasn't having ANY of it.

ERIC CHURCH...ERIC CHURCH...ERIC CHURCH

My FAVORITE singer of all time is Eric Church...if I could quit my job and become his roadie, I totally would do it in a heartbeat!!!!  When he announced on Twitter he was going to be at the Grand Ole Opry...I let Wayne know that is what I wanted for my birthday present.  I've always wanted to go to the Opry and to see Eric Church there was UH MAY ZING.  We took an adult weekend and off we went.  Meals without having to listen to fussing or complaining about choices was awesome and Eric didn't disappoint.  In true rebel fashion, his one hour set turned into almost two!!!!  The people waiting to get in for the second show were not happy!  They only had 10 minutes to clear and re seat the entire Opry auditorium and Eric wasn't playing the second show.  They were grumpy, but we were sure happy!!!!

Sunday Morning we drove to the Loveless Cafe for breakfast/lunch and let me just say the Chicken Livers were fantastic.

Moving is GREAT

One of my most favorite things about packing up 15 years of life in one house, was finding all the little momentos that had been tucked away, while doing life.  They were found in the most unexpected places.

This post it, sent from Hadley's PreK teacher with a book, that she had read in class before the year was over.  She has always loved books and it has been so much fun to see her love for the written word grow as she has gotten older.

Hadley's mini softball jersey with Wayne's numbers 00, just like her Daddy's.

Precious little notes in her journal, I'm so glad I gave birth to such a great kid too!!!

Oh how quickly this one will change....

Boo's person

She truly is my animal whisperer....he missed her after she had been gone to the horse show and didn't miss an opportunity to snuggle up on her.

The Roadies

This little lady loves when we go to the horse show to see Uncle Abbott.  There are many reasons, but the fact she is the center of attention and she gets to love on the beautiful 4 legged creatures are probably the top two reasons!!!

Posing with Ann, whom she adores and spoils her rotten!

That's right, it's just us two girls!!!!

Word!!!

It's no secret I love sleeping babies...she is wrapped up like she has been swaddled and is out for the count.

Trib the Road Pony is one of her favorites...he is super sweet, calm and just her size.

It's root beer....don't let the dimpled grin fool you!

She claimed her spot between Ann and KP before we even got in Longhorn.  Note the pigtails, just like KP.

Her love language, chocolate...

Another selfie with Mom!!!

Fake smile and pointed toe, check....

Completely and totally not a fan of the red nose, she didn't think it made her look cute and she was not happy we insisted on her trying it on.

Bernie....is at ATTENTION!!!!

Doing what she does best, supervising....

Taking KP's gear for a spin..

And now we have pigtail braids with bows, just like KP...

Yep, spoiled...

On the way home the next morning, we had to sugar up at one of our favorite haunts....we run on DUNKIN'
