One

You start out with this cooperative subject and you think there is smooth sailing ahead.

Enter the Red Head and it stands to reason there will be rough waters ahead.

....but I don't want my picture taken.

....I'm seriously out of here.

.....did I hear you say something about a fruit snack?

....talk to the hand, because the ears aren't listening.

.....I really, really don't want to do this.

....are you not listening to me?

...I am seriously over  you at  this point.

Okay fine, one stinking picture.

That town

We live in that town.  That town that doesn't have a single stop light.  That town that has ice cream at the corner store.  That town that you sit on the porch and watch the cars go by.

The red head was having one of her "moments"  she got ice cream in a cup, she didn't want to be fed, she proceeded to squall trying to get her way.

A little Red in the Face

So Monday nights Hadley has her Gym/Cheer class.  This new class is two hours and a little more involved than what she was doing before, but it gets her up and active and she said she wanted to do it.  Wayne usually takes her to class, but he was out of town this past Monday night.  So I left work early, picked the girls up and off we went.  I wasn't sure how it was going to work exactly because I knew Ellison was not going to be contained, but I thought we would watch as much as we could then Ellison and I might go run a few errands and then come back and get Hads.  Five minutes in to class, I can tell something just isn't right, Hadley is putting zero effort in to class, when her teacher notices she produces a leg injury and flops herself to the ground, clutching her leg.  It was all a little too convenient.  She had had a full day of play and just wasn't interested in exerting any more energy.  I was determined to make her watch the class, we endured about 45 minutes of torture before I gave up.  Hadley was laying on the floor like a wet noodle and I kept telling her to sit up, then Ellison proceeds to start screaming her fool head off and beating the mess out of me.  I was LIVID....we storm out of the gym and I vow that she will get some type of exercise this summer, she will not be a couch potato and she will have to push through some discomfort.  Last night I decided we would go running, I expected for her to give me a hard time about it, but she didn't, she wanted to know if she could wear her purple running shoes.  Sure whatever gets you up off the couch.  We got there and I was pleasantly surprised, she ran about 3/4 of a mile with me in the 93 degree heat, before she said she had to stop.  When I asked her if she would be ready to go back tomorrow, she gave me a wide eyed grin, but didn't whine about it.  Here's to a summer of getting up off the COUCH!!!!

Els favorite lovey

Meet BRITBRIT the Pig, named after BritBrit the teacher.  Friday was Ellison's last day at school.  Ms. Brittney got Ellison this lovey and Ellison LOVES it.  She gets mad if anyone touches it.  If she sees it in her bed, she starts whining, she wants her BritBrit.  We have already had to wash her lovey, which didn't make her happy.  She keeps trying to feed it real food, which gets kind of messy.  I know she already misses all her peeps, Wednesday will be her first day with the Manny.  Pray for the state of my house.

Gotta Getta Way

Wayne and I got to go out of town by ourselves this past weekend, GASP!!  The only food I cut at dinner was my own, the only person I had to get in the car was me, the only bag I had to pack was my purse.  It was nice, but it was really quiet and I missed my girls.  We went to Callaway Gardens.  There was a boat ride, some unexpected fishing, good food and a round of golf for Wayne.  I drove the cart.  I may have squealed the tires a few times.  I was getting my $16 worth.  They charged $16 for me to ride in the cart, CRAZY!!!

The view from our breakfast table.

I AM

18 months old

  • I am wearing 18-24 month clothes.
  • I am wearing size 4 diapers.
  • I am a milk girl all the way, I love me some sippy cups of milk.
  • I am not a very good eater.  I eat very little meat, but love all fruits, broccoli and cheeses.
  • I am extremely independent and insist on doing everything myself: feeding myself, walking by myself, and carrying my own bag, just to name a few.
  • I am in to everything.
  • I am a mocking bird.  I will try to repeat any word you say, it just may not sound like the same thing you said.
  • I am fascinated with all animals, except Boo (ever since he bit me, I don't want anything to do with him.)
  • I am constantly telling Boo the cat "out", "no no", "go".
  • I am my BIG sisters biggest fan, I love her a lot.
  • I am ready to start potty training, my manny (dad) is suppose to begin working on that next week, once school lets out.
  • I am able to follow directions very well and I love helping Mommy with chores.
  • I am extremely affectionate.
  • I am not intimidated by strangers, I think everyone should love on me.
  • I am completely adored by my family.

Onesie trouble

Oh such a little moody little lady this one is in the morning.  This was taken Friday before school.  I couldn't get her to smile no matter how hard I tried.  I wanted to remember her the first time she wore one of these short onesies.  She started pulling between her legs and grunting, she hated it.  By the time I picked her up, she had the hem pulled half way out of one of the legs.  I sure hope she doesn't become picky about her clothes like her sister did around this age.

Cut for a Cause

Last weekend was Relay for Life.  I have a few pictures I took on my camera, but never uploaded them to share.  As an additional fundraiser Wayne's school held Cut for a Cause in the town park.  They had several local hair dressers donate their time and skills to help raise money.  Hadley wouldn't let me have her hair trimmed, but she did partake in the bouncy house, getting her jump on.  Once Ellison Ann got herself freed from the stroller, she was a woman on a mission, all over the place.  Then once she got her hands on a bag of Cheetos, she was an orange little critter on a mission.

It was a beautiful day in the park!!!

We have a pretty cool kid

I know I'm a little partial, but I think we have a pretty cool kid.  Friday was Hadley's Kindergarten Program and Awards Day.  Their program was adorable and I have to say, I did tear up.  As the program was going on, I had Hadley and Ellison both grown and graduated from High School.  I am in complete denial that in 4 days, I will have a FIRST GRADER.  Not only will I have a FIRST GRADER, I will have a super cool FIRST GRADER.

During the program, Hadley and another student had parts where they told jokes.  I can't think of a speaking part that would suit her any better.  Then during the Awards Program, she was recognized for winning the Young Georgia Authors Contest for her grade at her school.  She also received the Author's Award and Readers Award for her class.

We sure are proud of our girl.

  • Yes, the pictures are horrible, my camera does not take good pictures in a gym.

Lost Footage

I just found this in my draft folder.  I don't remember ever uploading it to blogger.  I remember this like it was yesterday, but boy was my girl rocking the fro and fat rolls, she really was our chunky monkey.  She is probably about 10 months in this video.

Decorator for Hire

There are so many titles this post could be called:  Our little Picasso, We Have Been Vandalized, Baby Extreme Makeover, Pencils & Lead. I'm not surprised, I mean she is seriously in to everything.  I'm not sure when she did it.  We didn't experience this with Hadley and writing on our walls was seriously never anything I even thought about with her, but Ellison, I doubt she will ever surprise us with her wild ways.

I'm really not that impressed with her decorating suggestion.

KISS THIS

Oh this little lady has such a big personality, I don't know if it is the hair or being the second child, but she makes her prescence known every day and we couldn't be more thrilled she is part of our family.

End of cuteness, KISS THIS!!!

SO....

So blessed.  So in love with my beautiful girls.  So enjoy watching these little ladies personalities develop.  So proud to be these little girls mama.

Please excuse the scenery in these.  Isn't that always the way things go.  Everyone is looking at the camera, kinda smiling and there is a stinking trash can in every one.  Free advertising I suppose for Baxter Garbage, if you are local!!!
