I took Hadley last night to get her hair cut and she was in rare form. At one point she grabs one of her curls that has been cut and begins placing it on her upper lip, pretending it was a mustache. The ladies erupted in laughter so she continues, making funny faces and talking in silly voices. They were very amused with her which always eggs her on. She then asks, "Mommy when we leave can I have some candy." "No Hadley, Daddy is home cooking dinner." She then begins to throw a "mock" fit, beating her hands and throwing her feet (she is still getting her hair cut) and growling, "I want candy!!!!" I ask her if she really thinks that is going to work? She then tilts her head to the side, puts her best angel face on and says, "Mommy may I please have some candy?" The ladies again erupt in laughter further encouraging her again, as I say no. She returns to her "mock" fit for some laughs at which point the hairdresser offers her some change in her pocket (probably about 6 or 7 coins). In true Hadley form, she opts to forgo the candy and bank the money. When we get home she goes straight to her room and returns a short time later. I ask her if she put the money in her piggy bank, she replies "Yes, I put it in mine and Ellison's, I did a pattern, mine, Ellison's, mine, Ellison's...etc."
Wow so proud, and hopeful that this continues for many years to come.

BIG GIRL
It's like I knew what was going to happen yesterday and it's just not right. Mommy took me to the doctor today. The good news is I'm a growing girl and everything looks great. I weigh 11lbs 15 oz and am 22 inches long. I am smack dab in the middle of the charts. The bad news is I got 3 shots and some NASTY medicine by mouth for some stupid roto virus.

SUCKER
In the car a couple of nights ago, Hads asked if Ellison was going to eat soon. I told her that Ellison had just eaten. She replied, "she sure does like to eat alot of bottles, maybe we should give her the nickname of bot sucker." Sounds kind of like a transformer.

Beware of your bushes
He won my heart by playing in the bushes, he was so cute. But he suffers from extreme separation anxiety and bulimia. He terrorizes our other cats mercilessly, is extremely active and destroys anything new you bring in the house. Each time his antics begin Wayne looks at me and says, "but he was so cute in the bushes."

Feathers Smeathers
A couple of nights ago Wayne was cooking tofu and vegtables. It has a very unique smell, but he has cooked it before. I heard him in the kitchen begin chuckling, I guess Hads didn't remember the smell. She walked through the kitchen and asked him, "what in the feathers is that?"
Can't say I've used or heard anyone use the word feathers like that.

By the light of the moon....
....or computer screen. This is how we have spent the last few nights. Ms. Ellison has decided her awake time will be in the wee hours of the night. The nice thing is she isn't fussy, she just sits and kind of looks at me, waves her arms, throws the occasional dimpled grin and otherwise soaks up whatever might be on the TV. Around 1 AM she decides it is time to call it a night and she drifts off to dreamland. Easy as pie, I just need to get use to these odd hours and why can't there be anything good on TV???
Isn't she cute, even in the dark?

I AM
I AM two months old today
- I am wearing size 0-3 month clothing.
- I am wearing size 1 diapers.
- I am eating 4 ounces every 3 hours. Except at my 10:30 bottle, I am eating 6 ounces with a little cereal thrown in to fill me up.
- I am beginning to sleep for longer stretches at night, 4 hours stretches are typical, although I have slept as long as 6 hours one time.
- I am a good baby, but I love to be in motion. Bouncing in my bouncy seat, swinging in my swing, or in my car seat in the car as long as it is moving.
- I am a fan of projectile vomit and will wet you without notice.
- I am still a snuggle bug.
- I am starting to smile more and more and that dimpled grin makes everybody go gaga!!!
- I am still not really a fan of the pacifier, although Mom keeps trying to push it on me. I am a fan of my swankie blankie. I love snuggling up in it's fur.
- I am growing like a weed, check this out.

Who's who?
When Ellison was born, she was seriously a red headed mini me of Hadley. In recent weeks I think she has taken on her own look. I think she has the same features as Hadley, but they are put together differently. That is I thought that, until I unknowingly took a picture of her today very similar to one I had of Hadley in the same outfit. So which one is which?

Schools Out
Schooled
The other night we were meeting some friends for dinner, Wayne had gone in to the restaurant to check the wait time and I was waiting in the car with the girls. I was struggling to clear out the backseat and Hadley asked me a question. I quickly answered uh huh and went on about my business. She again asked the same question and I again, quickly answer uh huh. She began to ask the question for a third time, at which point I cut her off. "Hadley you have asked twice and I have replied, uh huh, which means yes, please stop asking." I look up to see her head cocked to the side and jutted forward and I hear, "Well maybe you should use your words!!"
Uh huh....
Mama has been schooled.
