I took Hadley last night to get her hair cut and she was in rare form. At one point she grabs one of her curls that has been cut and begins placing it on her upper lip, pretending it was a mustache. The ladies erupted in laughter so she continues, making funny faces and talking in silly voices. They were very amused with her which always eggs her on. She then asks, "Mommy when we leave can I have some candy." "No Hadley, Daddy is home cooking dinner." She then begins to throw a "mock" fit, beating her hands and throwing her feet (she is still getting her hair cut) and growling, "I want candy!!!!" I ask her if she really thinks that is going to work? She then tilts her head to the side, puts her best angel face on and says, "Mommy may I please have some candy?" The ladies again erupt in laughter further encouraging her again, as I say no. She returns to her "mock" fit for some laughs at which point the hairdresser offers her some change in her pocket (probably about 6 or 7 coins). In true Hadley form, she opts to forgo the candy and bank the money. When we get home she goes straight to her room and returns a short time later. I ask her if she put the money in her piggy bank, she replies "Yes, I put it in mine and Ellison's, I did a pattern, mine, Ellison's, mine, Ellison's...etc."
Wow so proud, and hopeful that this continues for many years to come.
