So Monday nights Hadley has her Gym/Cheer class. This new class is two hours and a little more involved than what she was doing before, but it gets her up and active and she said she wanted to do it. Wayne usually takes her to class, but he was out of town this past Monday night. So I left work early, picked the girls up and off we went. I wasn't sure how it was going to work exactly because I knew Ellison was not going to be contained, but I thought we would watch as much as we could then Ellison and I might go run a few errands and then come back and get Hads. Five minutes in to class, I can tell something just isn't right, Hadley is putting zero effort in to class, when her teacher notices she produces a leg injury and flops herself to the ground, clutching her leg. It was all a little too convenient. She had had a full day of play and just wasn't interested in exerting any more energy. I was determined to make her watch the class, we endured about 45 minutes of torture before I gave up. Hadley was laying on the floor like a wet noodle and I kept telling her to sit up, then Ellison proceeds to start screaming her fool head off and beating the mess out of me. I was LIVID....we storm out of the gym and I vow that she will get some type of exercise this summer, she will not be a couch potato and she will have to push through some discomfort. Last night I decided we would go running, I expected for her to give me a hard time about it, but she didn't, she wanted to know if she could wear her purple running shoes. Sure whatever gets you up off the couch. We got there and I was pleasantly surprised, she ran about 3/4 of a mile with me in the 93 degree heat, before she said she had to stop. When I asked her if she would be ready to go back tomorrow, she gave me a wide eyed grin, but didn't whine about it. Here's to a summer of getting up off the COUCH!!!!
