A week of FUN

Last week for us was one week of crazy.  It was the girls final week of swimming lessons and Hadley had Camp Winshape.  She absolutely loved it.  Camp Winshape had her so pumped up, when Wayne picked her up on the first day, Wayne called me and said, "I don't know what they have done to this kid, but she is on FIRE!!!!"  It was interesting as the week wore on you could see her getting grouchier and grouchier each day.  She was exhausted, but having a blast.  Friday was Family Fun Day.  I took the day off and went to see what she had been doing all week.

When we signed her up for Camp, we told her she may not know anyone.  She was okay with that, which I love.  There ended up being a couple of people she knew and she made so many new friends too.

Sweet Katelyn, they use to go to Church with us.

Gathering up for song and lots of chants before they head in for the day of activities.

The first Skill Hadley participated in all week was Fast Food and it didn't mean the bad kind.  In this Skill they taught the kids how to make foods that could be made quickly and were good for them.  On the Family Fun Day, they allowed the kids to bring their own recipe and have a "cook off".  Wayne found this summery recipe online, which Hadley named Fruity Crackers.  A cracker, a strawberry, a kiwi and cream cheese dip.

I like this picture. I think I'm starting to figure this camera out a little.

And guess who won the coveted Golden Spoon with her concoction????  Ummm yep Hadley, BellBell will be so proud, following in her cooking footsteps for sure.

Hadley made knew friends too, Lara Beth who was older but she adored and Lara Beth adored her too.  She asked if she could take Hadley home.  Ask on the right day Lara Beth and she just might be yours.

This skill was Lights, Camera, Action and the kids made a movie.  I don't know that I have ever seen Hadley light up more than when she came home each night and talked about her movie.  Although, she wouldn't give away too much, she would cover her mouth quickly and say, "Can't tell you that, because ummm SPOLIER ALERT!"  Precious, I have always said that one day we would hear and the Oscar goes to, HADLEY HARPER!!!!!

This skill is Girl World, where they learn about proper girl etiquette and manners.  They make tutu's and crowns, but really more of the manners part.
