Crazy Beautiful TRIP

When you can make a work trip personal, that is the way to do it.  I had to go out to Los Angeles and Yuma, AZ for work.  So I flew out a few days early and spent some time with a friend of mine that had moved to the area.  When we were corresponding back and forth and she asked me what I wanted to to while there, I responded with hike Runyon Canyon and the Original Farmers Market.  Neither disappointed....it was a great trip!

Just like that in the middle of LA, is this beautiful park with mountains that are completely different than my North Georiga Mountains, but wow was it amazing.

We had to stop and rest a few times.  The weather was absolutely unbelievably perfect, not to hot, not to cold, but I am out of shape!!!

As we were heading out of the Park, we noticed the blimp making its rounds, think it might have been and awards show they were covering.

Sadly the fun was over after a couple of days and I had to begin working.  I captured this shot while we were in Yuma, AZ.

Went to eat lunch with my Red Headed Cutie and her bestie Luci and they smuggled in Beau....bless him, he doesn't know what he is in for with these two.

I had to surprise my girl with lunch because I was heading out of town that evening for several days and she doesn't like it when I leave her.

Love watching my girl play some tennis.  She didn't come away with the Win this match, but she got lots of compliments on how well she plays.  She is so much smaller than the other middle schoolers, many think we have recruited an elementary schooler to play for us.

A Walking one of us will go

There is nothing like a spring stroll with a gorgeous sunset and this little cutie as your walking partner, I mean scooter riding chaperone.

LETS skate!!!

When you say let's skate and everyone gets excited and then they realize they don't know how to skate...true story.  There were lots of falls, lots of giggles and a few bruises at the end.  This was a skate party for our Children's Ministry at Church, so there were lots of falling kiddos to watch out for!

Happy Birthday to YOU

Someone turned 12 and I was in denial that the following year, I would have a teenager.  I wish I could say I remembered her baby years like they were yesterday, but the truth is I was in such a sleep deprived fog, I'm not quite sure how either of us even made it out!!  For her special day, she wanted her bestie (Bek) to spend the night.  She selected Panera for dinner, her Dad was less than thrilled.  He thinks Panera is too expensive and he always complains that he leaves hungry.  He ended up taking them to see a movie after dinner so I'm sure he filled up on popcorn.

The next morning, I got the girls up and we went for mani pedis...they kind of loved it alot.

After mani pedis a Starbucks stop was in order and all this girl wanted was a cake pop!

After presents they piled up in my bed, with my Mom's dog Ginger and watched a movie....there is a whole lot of sas in that bed right there.

Later that evening we celebrated with cake!!!!  The most amazing perfect cake ever.  It was a brownie with peanut butter frosting...Thank You Katie...all other cakes have now ceased to exist!
