Life is a Pair

Last night we had water night at Church. I went out very quickly and snapped a couple of pictures, before all the "water" festivities got in full swing. Our kids and big kids are ruthless on water nights. I got a little wet, but was able to retreat quickly before too much damage was done. The down side is I didn't get to see this girl enjoy all the water.

Once home we had some serious drama. While I was cleaning out Hads ears one of her tubes came out. From her mass freak out, I thought surely I had punctured something. That was not the case though. She begins to scream at me, that we have to go to the doctor tomorrow and have it put back in, because they help her ears drain and she has one and she must have two, she can't just have one ear with a tube, it just isn't right. UMMmmm, Hads they aren't matching shoes, they are little green tubes that go in your ears, just sayin'......

How did we get here?

I'm not sure how we got here. I feel like we blinked and the last five years flew by. But it is now official. Hads is in Kindergarten. I remember walking out of the hospital with her as clearly as it was yesterday and that is saying alot for a this mommy brain. I love that she was not nervous at all, I hate it too because that seems like she doesn't need me at all. There are only two kids in her class that were in her PreK class and a third little girl she remembers from after school care. That doesn't seem to phase her at all, she is excited and ready to be back in the swing of the school year.

We were so excited to carry our back pack in, well excited for a whole 10 steps. Then the drama starts. "Mom it is soooo heavy, it must be the glue!!!" Seriously, her backpack had crayons, pencils, markers, glue and a small notepad, that is soooo heavy!!!!

I sure hope this girls "unique" sense of humor isn't too much for her teacher!
If she gets out of hand, she is just a few doors down from this guy, who is back in second grade.
