Picture Heavy Post

We went to Burt's Pumpkin Farm today and the weather was beautiful. We got there early, not quite as early as I had planned, but early nonetheless. We met Darrell, Amanda and Rachel and then we got the treat of spending some time with The Watford's and The Sullivan's who were passing through on a long weekend trip through the North GA Mountains.

We had a little time to get a few pictures before the place was swarming with people. It looked like you had stepped in an ant bed, there were people everywhere. Knowing that it would be stressful, trying to capture pictures of the girls, I had already bought our pumpkins at a local fruit stand, so we didn't have the stress of picking pumpkins out. Crazy right, we went to a pumpkin farm not intending to buy any pumpkins? Hads was very cooperative to having her picture made, although when you tell her to give you a pretty smile, you get this wide smile full of teeth that looks kind of crazy. Then she tilts and cocks her heads in a variety of poses, that I'm sure she thinks are very Selena Gomez, but just don't photograph very well. I don't even know where to start on Ms. Ellison, she wasn't uncooperative, I just couldn't get her to look at the camera. Looking at all the shots, I have about 50 pairs of hog jowls. She is looking down at the pumpkins in every one. I finally gave up as we captured that day in that moment and that's what it was, she was interested in the pumpkins.

Cheater, Cheater

The other night Hadley wanted to play Candyland. I told her to get it set up in her room and I would be in there in a minute. I went back to her room and she had it all set up. Knowing she couldn't shuffle the cards, I sat down and began to shuffle. All of a sudden she starts getting upset, reaching for the cards. "No, No, I had them how I wanted them." Still not suspicious, I tried to explain to her that the deck needed to be shuffled; it wasn't working , now there were tears and screaming. After further questioning, she said I want to take the shortcut...she had stacked the deck and clearly my shuffling would mess up her PLAN. Cheater, Cheater!!!

On the move

This is Els before Church Sunday. I love this color combo on her, lime green and purple just suit that red hair. Taking pictures of her is quite the challenge. In a 30 second time period I took about 7 shots of her and she was in a different location in each one of them. One ended up being of the back of her head and the other of her bottom. She is mobile and FAST!!!!

Excuse me, but I have something to say!!!

I might even be a rock star!!!

Yesterday before Church I snapped some pictures of the girls. Here is Hads sportin' her bob'ed do and rocker chic pants and boots. I am in love with her boots, I seriously want a pair for myself. Of course, I am positive they wouldn't look cute on me, they would look like an old woman who is confused as to what generation she is from.

Tis the season of FALL

Yesterday evening we went to some friends house for a Fall Festival. The weather was beautiful, there is finally a chill in the air and there was a breeze blowing. Els got to go on her first hay ride. She didn't know what to think, she just kept looking at all the kids. Hads ran non stop and had a blast. She told me she loved coming here, when I asked her why she looked at me with her "DUH" expression and said, "because we get to go on hayrides."
