A beautiful day at the Park

The picture doesn't really show the emotion going on in this picture.  She wanted to get the blocks off.  She wanted one to play with and she wasn't happy when she couldn't get one off.

THE Birthday Party for THE Birthday Girl

Saturday we had Hadley's birthday party.  She wanted to have a party with some of her "peeps".  So we had a paint your tea cup party.  Check out the invites.  Thank you Stacia for the rhyme.

The table is set.  Can I just say I love Hobby Lobby, they have the best party supplies?

The yummy cupcakes one of Wayne's coworkers made.  The "H" toppers were found at Hobby Lobby too.

The sandwiches I made.  I wanted "tea party" sandwiches and this was the only thing I could come up with.

The girls all got to paint a teacup and saucer.  There was some heavy concentration going on.  I can't wait to see how they all turnout.

I was really worried about this little lady.  Given her love of getting in to things and all the breakable things in a pottery store, I was sure where were going to end up having to create some type of payment plan for all the damage she was going to cause.  But she was watched over and cared for by the Holt girls like nobodies business.  I think she thought they were there just for her instead of her sisters party.  Thank you girls.

Time to eat.

The birthday girl with her family and her bestie.  Sissy was off running around somewhere having a grand ol' time.  Minus her hair bow.  Can you find her hair bow in this picture?  Hehe, it was the first thing Wayne spotted, Seriously Wayne with a pink bow on his rear end.

Pure joy.  I love that smile and those giggles.  Mom, check out the cups.  The finally got put to good use.

Thank you friends for a fabulous party with my peeps.  I had a great time and hope you did too!!!

Party Packed Friday

Friday Ellison had her Valentine's Party at school.  They actually had several mini parties throughout the day, they said they were going to spread out the sugar.  So I wasn't able to get any pictures of her party.  So I got a picture of her that morning in her little Valentines sweater.  Looking at her is sugar overload.

Friday was also a certain curly haired diva's birthday.  To think she is six years old, just blows me away.  I mean six year ago, I was holding this.

And today this is the smile I am greeted with each morning and there is very little snuggling going on.  Where did the time go?

She got to take snacks to school for her birthday.  Since I had just gone on her field trip Wednesday, I wasn't able to make it down to her school for the party.  I haven't had a peak at her camera, but I sent it with her to get pictures from her viewpoint for the party.  We will be getting those uploaded and added, hope to see the birthday girl enjoying her special day.

Then Friday night, we let her pick what she wanted to pick up for dinner.  I was totally thinking Mickey D's or Chick fil A.  Let's just say momma went hungry, she picked Krystal.  Seriously, Krystal??  We let her open gifts from Wayne and I and family after dinner.  She had asked for only a pillow pet from Wayne and I.  She rarely asks for toys, it's like she is immune to the toy commercials, which isn't necessarily a bad thing considering how much TV she watches.  She was however insistent, that she get a pillow pet and she wanted a moose like Kya.  The moose was a hit, as were the other presents.

Seeing double

I tried to get a picture of them dressed alike.  It didn't go so well and I gave up.  Trying to get a picture of the red head is like wrestling a slick pig sometimes.  Hadley thinks it is funny and I get "over it" pretty quickly.

Always spell it out

Last night I was sitting at the computer desk, stuffing Valentine's Bags for the girl's classes.  Hadley is always interested when there is chocolate involved and pulled up a chair to watch and ask an endless amount of questions.  I'll admit I was only half paying attention to her questions, and she must have sensed I was less than enthused and began talking aloud to herself.  I catch part of her conversation and I hear, "Carrie baby piss."  Realizing I am only half engaged I give her my full attention and ask her what she said, she repeats her self again.  I'm am speechless, horrified, confused.  I finally spit out the word, "what?"  She points to the computer screen where the email inbox is up and she reads a title of an email and repeats the horrible phrase again.  She then tells me it would make more sense if they had used the word Carrie's baby....(you get the idea).  "Yes, Hadley it would and it would also make more sense if you said pics, which is an abbreviation for pictures."  The light bulb goes off and she realizes what she has been saying.  Wayne and I did a few minutes of deprogramming on why the word she was using just isn't polite, but if I know my girl, it will be "accidentally" used sometime in the future.

Always spell it out!!!
