Working the camera

Work it girl.  She is becoming quite the poser this one.  Love it.  L.O.V.E.  It was picture day at school and I got an on yeah .  She was loving getting all dolled up and getting her hair done.  "Ellison put your hands on your hips."  Her, "like 'dis?"  Yes baby doll just like that!!!

CUTE and COMFY and CHEAP

On a recent shopping excursion, I found a new brand for the girls.  It is affordable and all cotton, which equals cheap cute comfort.  A WIN for my wallet and meets at least Hadley's one requirement.  Ellison doesn't have requirements yet, but I'm sure they are coming.  Ellison is going to be my little shopping buddy.  I was recently shopping on-line for her a pair of shoes.  She was on the couch, I didn't think she was paying attention.  I was wrong.  All of a sudden, it was like my hip was a magnetic, she was at my side asking to be picked up and wanting to look.  She picked herself out a pair of fabulous hot pink moccasins.  Of course, I had to oblige and buy them for her.  I can not wait to see the sassy little red head in what she now calls, "her favorite boots ever".

Hiking the Mountain

Hadley had a Reach field trip a couple of weeks ago.  I have gone on all her field trips, but I thought I might sit this one out.  It was at Fort Mountain and there was going to be hiking involved.  I casually asked her while she was preoccupied on the computer if she wanted me to go, she did so my plan didn't really work.  So up the mountain we went and hike we did.  Yes we did.  it was a beautiful Fall morning a wee bit chilly, but beautiful nonetheless.  After our hike around the lake, we stopped for a picnic and then the kiddos went back to school.  I  know there will come a day, when she doesn't want me around, so I wasn't really upset my plan didn't work.

Cheerleader of the Month

Renegade Athletics Cheerleader of the Month:
Hadley Harper

Hadley Harper has been named Cheerleader of the year for the month of October. Hadley Harper is seven years old and attends Red Bud Elementary School. Her parents are Carrie and Wayne Harper.  Hadley has been a member of Renegade Athletics since 2010. She was tumbled in 2010 and performed with the Co-Stars last season. This season Hadley is on the Youth Semi Competitive team.  Hadley was chosen by the coaches and staff here at Renegades because she has never missed a practice this past month. Hadley has also grown so much in her cheerleading this past season that she has become an inspiration to the younger cheerleaders. In just the past month Hadley has gained three new skills.  There’s no doubt that Hadley has been working very hard and deserves to be Renegade Athletics Cheerleader of the Month.  Congratulations Hadley! Keep up the good work!

My girls

Last weekend we took the girls to City Park.  I wanted to try and snap a couple of pictures for a canvas coupon I had.  I was hoping to get an updated shot, I liked.  Not so much canvas worthy, but I got a few cute ones of them.  I absolutely love the second picture.  Ellison mocks and imitates the bulk of what Hadley does.  Whether it is a cheer move, a picture pose or sitting on the couch.  I can definitely see her modeling her behavior after her big sis who she adores.  It was extremely difficult to get both of the girls to look at the camera at the same time, smiling and the sun not be in their eyes.  I tried several different ways with little success.  I finally conceded that it wasn't happening and as we left I snapped a couple of Hadley on her own.  Umm yeah, chic was totally working it, the hand on the hat, all her.  The head cocked, all her.  She loves having her picture made, almost as much as she loves hats.
