Schooled on the Stairs

For the last few years when we have gone to Burt's Pumpkin Farm in the fall we have gone to Amicola Falls for a picnic after.  We have never hiked the falls, we have just gone in the park had our picnic, played on the playground and left.  Several weeks ago, we were scheduled to have fairly mild temperatures that Saturday so we decided to take the girls to hike the Falls. Ummm all I can is it was alot of stairs.  We got schooled by a 4 year old most of the way up...she was an absolute trooper.

Hads BFF, Gracie joice us for the hike.

We decided to go down a different way, which was quite rocky and rooty and provided a whole other set of challenges.

Wedding Bells

A friend Wayne and I went to High School with, but had not seen for years was getting married in North Alabama, which just happens to be about an hour from us and invited us to the wedding.  So to Alabama we went for a wedding.  We got to see several friends we went to school with, so it was great to catch up with them and see their kiddos.  These two are quite the little posers.

They met Mrs. Jamie and fell in love with her.  Ellison was quite the little wallflower, total introvert!!!!  BAHAHAHA!!!!

Hadley got bored...bless her

Then she started harassing her daddy...

QUEUE the waterworks

The last day...whew...  Does that thing sport some sass or what?  Her last day was Friday and that meant show in tell day.  I figured she would want to take Elsa or Anna, but she chose a soccer ball, not sure why.  I knew I was going to get teary eyed...but her fabulous teachers threw her a party and made her this fantastic card with all her friends little handprints on it.  For her party, her teacher from the previous year came back to visit (she had a baby and no longer worked there), but she came back to see my baby off..how sweet is that?  They had princess presents for her a doll and a crown.  Seriously, precious....so amazing...I cried...A LOT!

Mama needs a new pair of shoes

We adored our preschool.  They were fabulous to Hadley and many of the same teachers were Ellison's teachers.  As a working Mama, it always blessed my heart and put me at ease to know how much my girls loved school and how much they were being loved on.  So if ever there was a bittersweet moment, this was it.  Dropping that last check in the pail, meant some financial freedom...daycare ain't cheap!!!  But it also meant, my baby girl would no longer be loved on by this wonderful group of ladies.
