Loading IN

Most of my pictures of July or pictures of projects in the house and in progress pictures as we moved in.  First up, is the UH MAY ZING back splash Wayne did!!!  Not sure why, but they didn't have a back splash and it looked so plain, so we spiced it up a bit with some Shaw Ceramic paver tiles.

Next up, what I refer to as my own personal Wall of Love.  Wayne reclaimed the wood from a 1920's farmhouse, then pieced together this masterpiece.  Whenever he get frustrated with me, he tells me he is going to take the wall down...which I know he won't ever tackle because there are lots of nails in this one.

Starting to fill in the new furniture.

New bed  made it!!!

Ellison's room is really the only room in the house, that stayed in tact from a furniture and decor standpoint.  She and Hads shared a room at the old house and my Mom had made all the bedding, it was just too cute to put away yet.  She still has a few more years before she outgrows the frog theme.  We compromised, since she was the only one not getting new and her closet got turned into an art room.

Her closet is the perfect little nook for her art room.

Hads got the furniture from our spare bedroom, but all new bedding...I was more than a titch disappointed when this bed spread arrived.  Seriously, it was so crunchy it would have been like wrapping up with a newspaper!!!

As we are loading all the furniture in and just taking in the new....of course a problem pops up on the basement....yep it rained...yep it leaked!!!!  So yay, we have that to deal with and get fixed.

I found the perfect place for Wayne's Turkey mount, he was not amused...but hey, it got hung up...it just didn't really go with the vibe I was going for in the main living area.

Loading in the living room....sadly this rug...as much as I love it...didn't make it very long before the cat ruined it by getting sick on it.

One of my painting projects.  These red end tables are the perfect little pop of color.

Another end table and a tray that Wayne made for me.

Moving it around to see where I like it best.

A gorgeous mirror Wayne made for me.

Hads room with her new comforter, much more snugly and looks so much better.

A house warming present....we are the letter H!!!

This is another painting project and perhaps the one I am most proud of.  This piece was a solid dark brown, my Mom had it for years and it just needed to be re-invented just a little.

The Beautiful Corner of Tears

When you make bad choices and get told to go find a corner to think it out and you pick the most beautiful wall in the house.

Time to get in Shape

Camp Winshape sponsored by Chick fil A is always one of our most favorite activities each summer.  Each morning Hadley let's me take the obligatory photo, although her smile gets more and more forced.

Friday is family day...so we get to see her participate in all her activities in her team color.  I don't have a picture of them, but this year she had a crew that she ran with.  They called each other their family and have continued to text after Winshape...this makes my Mama heart smile, because meeting new people is hard and meeting new people at this age is real hard...so I love that she looks forward to this camp, even though she usually doesn't know anyone and always walks away meeting great kids and making friendships.

Ellison and her ClainClain...Els wasn't suppose to get face paint because she isn't a camper, but her Clain Clain took care of her and made it happen.

Ellison literally makes friends  where ever she goes.  Meg is the daughter of a friend of ours, but Els didn't really know that, she only knew her as McClain's friend and she instantly took up with her and was attached.

Little and Big...like looking at mirror images...whoever sees me in her is crazy!!!

SERVIN up a HOT day

I feel like we should have picked an indoor sport for Hads to pursue...because Tennis well it's brutal..it's either 30 and windy or 102 and you are sweating buckets.  When it's the later, it's all hands on deck, to keep sis as cooled off as possible.

As usual she has a book in her hand....she is one of the most well read people I know.

Red and I have to try to entertain ourselves.  We made a snail out of her bun.

Curls battled through the heat and wont the tournament.  She and Mary Jack are very well matched and although it was crazy hot, it was fun watching her go head to head with someone she is so well matched against.

We were on the red carpet for a minute.

Happy 4th YALL

The 4th of July tradition continues!!!!  Off to Williams house we go for swimming, food and fireworks in the field!!!  For some reason, these two were all about the patriotic wear this year, picking out their shirts weeks in advance...two little divas.

We forced Wyatt to get in on the photo shoot, he was thrilled.

There was lots of water shenanigans going on....

This one reigned victorious, clearly it's because she has the muscles....

Visions of my future...these two off on a jeep adventure...

It's field party time....as usual the fireworks did not disappoint.
