The Manny

I have been wondering what Hadley and her Manny have been doing while I have been at work. Well I found some evidence on the camera. Confirming my suspicions she is dragging the entire contents of her room out into the living room and she is sporting some unkept hair!!

Now If I could just get our Manny to:
  • Vacum
  • Make a bed
  • Put up the clothes he so nicely folds
  • Make Hadley put her stuff back in her room
  • Comb Hadley's hair

I might consider hiring him back next summer. Hmm wait he is FREE and lives here, I guess he will be back next summer!!!!

I see your Daisy Dukes and raise you one

It's a good thing we live in the country. It's sad when you think Daisy Dukes would be more appropriate?

Seven Twenty Six

I rolled out of bed today at 7:26, PM that is. I'm not proud, I think this is the 5th (maybe 6th) Saturday I have spent in bed. Sure I get up a few times through out the day, look at Hadley and wish I could spend the time with her. Then she starts jumping around dancing, singing and it makes the blinding light in my head all the brighter. A child's exuberance and migraines don't really mix. I had hoped I could use the blog to track my pregnancy and what I noticed happening each day with the baby. Unfortunately, 90% of the days have been the same, praying at the throne of my new porcelain best friend, or sitting on my office floor with my head in the trash can. There is a blessing at the end of the journey and we are so excited for his or her arrival. We find out on July 7th, if we will be pulling all our girl things out of storage or if we will be going shopping for new boy things. Hadley continues to be a bright spot in each day. I love coming home from work (not because I am going to get some much desired rest) but because I know my belly will be greeted with more kisses, hugs and excitement than I have ever seen coming home from work pre-baby. Then there is the love and compassion she shows when I am "praying" in the bathroom. She isn't squeamish one bit and will come plant a kiss on my cheek. Today, she curled up next to me on the floor, put her arm around my back, and said, "I don't really love it that you are sick." Her stillness lasted about two seconds and she was off to the races. I hope to put up some pictures tomorrow of my little redneck girl fishing tonight and Hadley with her "Manny" from last week.

Too Lame

Hadley: Mommy can we get tattoos one day.
Me: Sure honey we can get fake tattoos.
Hadley: No mommy I want a real one, why does it have to be fake?
Me: It does and we aren't talking about it anymore.

A few minutes later...

Me: Hadley why don't you want to get your ears pierced?
Hadley: Because it is just too lame!!!

Yes, I guess if you want a tattoo at 4 years old an earring is kind of lame in comparison.
