Blogger, I'm not happy

Fitting that this should be my 500th post, blogger and I got in a fight, I don't know if you can tell from looking at the blog.  I mean obviously I can post, it wasn't that kind of fight, but I'm still a little miffed.  I have more to post from Christmas, I am just trying to accept the new FACE of my blog.  It may take me a couple of days.

Twas the night before Christmas...

Christmas Eve morning, we opened presents at my parents house with family and friends and then ate lunch with them, before heading back to Georgia.  Package opening was CHAOS!!!!  The kids enjoyed it though and that is all that matters.  Apparently, I wasn't taking enough pictures for Wayne and he took control over the camera.  Oh my, my pictures of package opening are all like blurry action shots.  I'm not sure if it is because of Wayne's picture taking ability or because of how crazy it was.

You can't see him, but Dr. Tim is in the picture too.  All the little ladies piled up in Dr. Tim and Nana Vicki's lap to play with the doodle glow, the girls LOVED it and had so much fun drawing with them.

After lunch with my parents, we loaded up and headed home.  We made it home in time to take baths and make a few break and bake cookies for Santa.  One year, we are going to do something other than break and bake, this was not that year.

Ready for Santa, a quick picture in front of the tree, before bed.  Of course, the red head wouldn't be still.

LA Christmas

So now we are up to Christmas EveEve (note to self, blog more often, this is getting difficult to remember, I don't have Had's memory).  We went home to Alabama for a couple of days before Christmas and got to visit with family and friends.  It was a whirlwind of a trip, but the girls enjoyed seeing everyone.  Christmas EveEve we visited Wayne's Mom and the girls got to give her their presents, they were pretty excited to help her open.

After presents, it is no shocker that this little lade found a computer.

And this little lady found the green exercise ball, she loves this thing.

Playing with the tea set their Granny Sue gave them.

There should really be pictures of the girls with their Granny Sue, but somehow I ended up in front of the lens with each of the girls which never happens, so I'm posting those.  I think this one is a self portrait.

This one is a Hadley original.  Yes, that is Ellison's go to smile.

We went and ate with Wayne's Mom and Bill and then went over to see Matt, Nikki and Wyatt.  Ellison found a helmet, which may not be a bad fashion choice, given her hard headedness.  She also discovered a love of remote control cars, go figure.

The best we could get

A slave to fashion.  She found a hat and she worked it all night.

Tell Ms. Nikki, some story I'm sure.  Such a little liar this one.

Her Daddy made her mad, so she went to Mr. Matt to pet on her.

A Christmas Message

After all that excitement it is tough to know where to go from there, but there was no break.  After a Saturday puke fest, it is a Sunday filled with the message of Christmas and what a blessing it was.  Our little lady got a few lines to say late into the practice and we didn't know if she would be able to remember them, it was a bit of a mouthful.  We thought they might be giving her a scroll or something to read from, but apparently she has some other crazy family members memory and not her Mom, Dad's or Grandparents.  Because after ready it 5 times, she new her part and didn't mess it up once after.  It is posted to mine and Wayne's facebook page, if you missed it, this proud Mama thinks you missed a treat.

Party till you PUKE

Friday 11PM and all is quiet in the house.  Then we awake to gagging and a mess in a crib.  So we went from party, party to puke.  HMMMM.  Being our resident gag queen, we cleaned her up, put new sheets in her bed and it was like a bad science experiment, her head hit the pillow and there she blew.  I think it was at that moment we realized, the plans we had for slumber would not be fulfilled for the evening.  At least for one of us, and in apparent rock paper scissors I don't remember, I lost.  Even though before we had kids, I agreed to what came out of the other end, but not what was thrown up, that was Wayne's end.  I run a close second to Ellison, when it comes to the gag queen award.  Off, to the towel covered couch we went.  As each hour came and went, a new outfit was modeled.  The virus, thought it was most fitting to attack the one member of our family that had no aim and was terrified of throwing up in a cup.  We have been so fortunate that this was our FIRST true stomach virus with one of the kids.  I hope and pray that they are few and far between, because the next one, I might fake one myself, to get Wayne on clean up duty.

She would be sitting on the couch watching TV and just randomly lay over and go to sleep throughout the day.  She might sleep for 10 minutes or an hour, it was pitiful.
