Backseat 'tude

I have exactly one more year of this in my back seat on my morning drive to work.  This will be her last year of daycare school.  She starts the Bud next year and will join Wayne's morning commute.  Although, I will enjoy the quiet because lawd have mercy can she talk your ears off, I will totally miss this.  I won't miss Taylor Swift, WE ARE NEVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER.  There are times I tell her I don't have my phone so I don't have to hear it.

Wild woman

I think I have a bona fide collection going.  I am totally going to make a book of this girls crazy sleeping positions.  What is funny to me is she is my calm sleeper.  Snuggling up in bed with her is bliss.  Snuggling up with Hadley may involve blood or brusing.  This picture is totally deceiving.

Goofy Glasses and all

We needed a break.  It wasn't planned, but we totally snuck away for a quick dinner and Iron Man 3.  The girls were pumped as usual, because they got their Holts'.  Win Win for both of us.

Walking the Red Carpet

The end of the school year always brings out the crazy.  Or at least I feel crazy as I run around like a chicken with my head cut off.  The girls had their Awana Awards night this past Sunday and we had a theme.  A very cute theme, which I hope we can grow in coming years, Walk the Red Carpet.  The thought was to make it a very special night, since the kids had accomplished so much this year.  I had thought we might put on our Sunday best, but the Curly Haired Diva had other things in mind.  Apparently when they said wear your finest, she was blind to the fact that she had grown "slightly" since she wore this dress two summers ago.  Not only was it a little too short, pretty sure she got her first taste of what happens when you have to suck it in to zip it up.  Not so comfortable after two or three hours.

Wayne suggested I put Ellison in her matching dress.  Umm, she was 1 and she has grown more than slightly since that summer.  Here's your sign..  We opted for sequins and she wore them so well.  I see this picture below and she looks like she is 13 with the make up and hip stuck out.  Oh me.

Of course we had to rock the duck face, it's a given.

Duck face with Sis and our friends.  Crazy eyes!!!  I love how serious Libby is with her peace sign.

They were suppose to sing and she tried to a couple of times, until she heard how loud her voice was in the microphone and that kind of freaked her out and she shut up.  Hmmm might need to invest in a real microphone for home.  Wonder how long that trick would work?  Probably .2 seconds.

Okay so the hat has come off.....

we are seriously bored and the attention is not on us....

what is she looking at?  where did the hat go?  Yeah she threw it grinned her dimple grin and me and then looked at it on the floor.

we are so mad because we have to sit next to the hat and she got scolded.  Pitiful.

Hads last year as a Spark.

Checking out her awards with Gracie Mae.

We say goodbye to another school year

I am starting to tear up thinking about it, but this little lady only  has one more year of "school" before she heads off to PreK.  She asks every day when she gets to go to the Bud.  She is so ready, I'm afraid this is going to be one long year.  She had her end of the year program and she was front and center.  She didn't cry....she didn't sing either.  At first we are surveying the crowd, yep not gonna happen people.

Okay, fine Mom I'll get them out of my mouth, but I'm still not gonna sing.

Hmmm Mom this manicure held up pretty well, liking the silver glitter nail polish.

Okay fine, I'll sing on this last one.

Jesus Loves Me This I know.
