Which white stuff...

So we had a little cold spell...like you know lots of snow, thankfully we had an escape planned.  It couldn't have been more perfectly timed.  Someone got really comfortable in the car, maybe a little too comfy, dangerously comfy.

Ahhh escape...I'll take this white stuff over the other white stuff any day.  We are beach people!!!!

Run for the Hills it's gonna SNOW

The snow lingered and lingered some more.  The TV stayed on the weather channel, which continually predicted our impending doom.  Weather reporters are totally glass half full kind of people.  We got a little loopy and got out the games.

Then there might have been some horseplay....

By day 3 they were really kind of over it!!!

SNOWDAY ON YOUR BIRTHDAY

So the plan was to take cupcakes to school on Hadley's actual birthday and let her celebrate with her class.  Then they called off school, because there was a prediction for this.....

Generally, they predict this, but it doesn't ever happen, but boy did it ever happen.

So thankfully, we had her actual party the weekend before so she didn't miss out on everything.  After breakfast, we let her open her gifts, with a little assist from The Red Head.

and painting supplies....

In preparation of the bad weather I stopped at the grocery store the night before and got the stuff to make cupcakes.  I figured if she couldn't enjoy the day with her friends...I would pray really hard and hope that my OCD didn't kick into overdrive and I could let her enjoy the actual baking of her birthday cupcakes.  Good news, I made it through.....barely.

Since I was throwing caution to the wind with the baking, I figured why not break out the paint that Aunt Mary had gifted Hads for Christmas.

Yep, they are smiling and I'm a nervous wreck...awesome I'm not sure why Aunt Mary hates me.

She wanted Daddy to oversee her masterpiece....cupcake GOOD!!!!

After that bit of fun, it was time to go outside to build a snowbunny.

And maybe throw a snowball or two.

Party Girl

For Hads 9th birthday, she had two friends stay the night.  We took them to Steak N Shake, devoured cookie cake and then went to see a movie.  Els was in heaven she thought she was  one of the big girls.

At some point during the party, Elsie Bop found the tattoos and before I knew it I was sporting a peace out sister tat!!!  The girl is quick!

For Breakfast, I made the girls monkey bread.  They discovered that if they put syrup on it, it made it really yummy!!!

Wayne and Hads took the girls home, I got lunch ready for Els and before I knew it she was out like this out.  Parties are exhausting.

BANG BANG

So they picked this over shoe shopping, I don't know where I went wrong.  It makes me sad.  They both even want a little cricket gun, so they can go shoot MORE!!!!
