Leaving my baby

So as we headed out to LA, we and by we I mean I decided to make some memories along the way.  We went shoe shopping.  Els found these fab little boots she wants and while they are super cute, you can tell by her outfit we are in the dead of summer and don't really need a pair of boots right now.  So those we put back on the shelf with the thought of a possible birthday present.  But this girl loves to shop.

As soon as we left the shoe shop, we stopped for a little Starbucks.  This girl can suck down a vanilla bean frappie like no body's business.  She doesn't like to share either!!!

Right before I left, yep, Mama's about to lose it.  This is the first time she has been away from Wayne and I both for a whole week.

Before I left, she had gone on a nature walk with PawPaw and brought back this beautiful arrangement of flowers.

Before I had gotten home, I had gotten these pictures...someone wasn't missing me at all.

While I was gone Wayne had taken Hadley out for a little daddy daughter time and had taken her to a bakery I had been wanting to go to....dad durn him.  He was forgiven though, because this was waiting for me.

Daddy's girls...for one day

So Fathers Day was the day before we left for CentriKid and also the day I was taking Els to Alabama so she could stay with BellBell and PawPaw for the week.  I had planned on the girls and I taking Wayne for breakfast before Els and I left for LA....but he had Tennis...yep shocking.  So the girls gave him his gifts, gave him some sugar and Els and I hit the road.

And the award goes to....

Awana Awards Night, before the Awards I saw this going on and had to snap a picture.  Ms. Hadley really isn't a baby kind of child.  You know those kids that are just drawn to babies and are all goo goo over them, yeah that's not really Hadley.  So when I saw her loving on sweet little Jake, I had to get proof!!!

This little lady finished her book and instead of one superlative she got two.  If memory serves the first was Little Mama because she was always mothering on everyone.  The second was The Diva Star, because well she's Ellison and she is a Diva and she is always singing.

My two girls.

Hads finished her book too and wanted a pose with her BFF!!!

A wirey BRAT

This one is a wild sleeper, always has been.  We have been watching her tonsils and adenoids over the years and they have been borderline.  Meaning they might be what is causing her wild sleep and they might not.  Which means taking them out may or may not get her restful sleep.  Ellison got her adenoids out when she was little but I have heard it is quite rough the older they get and when the tonsils are involved.  Since the doctor couldn't tell us for sure it would work, we asked for a sleep study to make sure before we went through with surgery.....$1500 later (yep that was the out of pocket)....we learned she is really JUST a wild sleeper.  Nope no surgery for her.

My view from my recliner.  The technician told me that I could sleep in the sleep number bed with her, but you know what the brat said.....NO?!!!!  Seriously, a BRAT!!!!

This is her all hooked up...seriously don't know why it required that many wires, but they were EVERYWHERE!!!

A little bit COUNTRY

I love all kinds of music, but I LOVE country music a lot!!!  So when Stacia said she was wanting to go to the CMT awards, I asked her where I needed to sign up, because I was so in!!!!  I even got a new pair of boots, which Wayne thought was completely ridiculous, but he is a DUDE what does he know!

Sadly Charlie and Sam were the closest we got to any celebrities, although John Legend did wave at us when he left rehearsals!!

It was honestly one of the neatest experiences, because there is so much more going on that just what you see on TV and it is really cool to have an idea of what is going on now, when I watch an award show.
