Santa's Riding in on the BEAT

Santa came to town...and the girls were kind of thrilled.  Hadley got a crazy fun pair of green beats and a warm snuggly blanket.  Ellison got her American girl horse and her bow and arrow, just like she asked.

The stocking were hung by the door with care!!!! :)

On the EVE of Christmas

On the EVE of Christmas we went to the candlelight service at Church...everyone got candles....everyone....even a certain red head that doesn't ever sit still and has really long flowing red hair.  Thankfully, my imagination was the only thing that went up in flames.  Whew!!!

After the candlelight service we facetimed, with BellBell and PawPaw.

Then we got ready to make cookies for Santa and at some point during that day, I lost my mind and decided that we would make cookies from scratch...yeah not my brightest moment.  We normally do break and bake and Santa likes them just FINE!!!!

So this is obviously before the adventure began.

At this point, I deterred the girlies with Dunkin' because I realized it was going badly....very very bad!

You see I didn't read the directions fully...I just dumped all the ingredients in the bowl and started mixing...but it was suppose to be a TWO STEP PROCESS....TWO STEPS PEOPLE!!!!

So this is where the first batch ended up....

Then I didn't have enough eggs for the second batch....and it was 9:30 and it was Christmas Eve and EVERYTHING was closed.....TWO STEP PROCESS PEOPLE....TWO STEPS....read the directions fully!!!

So Wayne did what any creative person would do and he called our friend the farmer and went and got some fresh eggs that had just been laid that morning....yep...wasn't strange at all!!!!

They were really good and totally better than break and bake...but I'm pretty he is getting break and bake next year.

All nestled in their beds with visions of sugarplums.

Elf magic

So Lilly our Elf showed up at Christmas.  She was a little messier this year than she was last year.  I might have to ban her from coming to visit next year.  Although, she did go away for a couple of days during the holidays due to some bad behavior.  It's a sad day when the Elf ratting you out to the big jolly guy can't even buy you some decent behavior.

Lilly moved past subtle suggestions for good choices and left them a note....

More notes trying to get good choices and good behavior.....

This was probably my favorite thing she did....Wayne started this thing with the girls where he would use the word "under" in a sentence in the form of a question?  For Example: " do you want to go under?"  and then they would say..."underwear?"  Then everyone laughs hysterically because he made them say underwear.  So look at what is on the mirror.....then the mess!!!!!

The girlies continued to make bad choices and after taking a marshmallow bath....she went away for a little bit.

When she finally came back it was two days before Christmas Eve and the fun was almost over.

Hadley & Ellison

On the Eve of Christmas Eve, we got dressed up in our adorable Christmas gear and went to see Annie.  Now while these shirts are totally adorable...they took more than 6 weeks to get..I ordered them the first week of November so we could get wear out of them during December and we did not receive them until the week before Christmas, so we only got to wear them a couple times.  How cute are they though?  Love these girlies...we however weren't huge fans of Annie, despite all the rave reviews we heard, just wasn't quite up our alley.

Making your Christmas BRIGHT

We got all dressed up in our stretchy pants and headed out to see some Christmas Lights at Camp Jordan and they were pretty amazeballs.  The girls loved the lights, but even more they loved getting to sit in the front seat, while we drove through the lights.
