Most of my pictures of July or pictures of projects in the house and in progress pictures as we moved in. First up, is the UH MAY ZING back splash Wayne did!!! Not sure why, but they didn't have a back splash and it looked so plain, so we spiced it up a bit with some Shaw Ceramic paver tiles.
Next up, what I refer to as my own personal Wall of Love. Wayne reclaimed the wood from a 1920's farmhouse, then pieced together this masterpiece. Whenever he get frustrated with me, he tells me he is going to take the wall down...which I know he won't ever tackle because there are lots of nails in this one.
Starting to fill in the new furniture.
New bed made it!!!
Ellison's room is really the only room in the house, that stayed in tact from a furniture and decor standpoint. She and Hads shared a room at the old house and my Mom had made all the bedding, it was just too cute to put away yet. She still has a few more years before she outgrows the frog theme. We compromised, since she was the only one not getting new and her closet got turned into an art room.
Her closet is the perfect little nook for her art room.
Hads got the furniture from our spare bedroom, but all new bedding...I was more than a titch disappointed when this bed spread arrived. Seriously, it was so crunchy it would have been like wrapping up with a newspaper!!!
As we are loading all the furniture in and just taking in the new....of course a problem pops up on the basement....yep it rained...yep it leaked!!!! So yay, we have that to deal with and get fixed.
I found the perfect place for Wayne's Turkey mount, he was not amused...but hey, it got hung up...it just didn't really go with the vibe I was going for in the main living area.
Loading in the living room....sadly this rug...as much as I love it...didn't make it very long before the cat ruined it by getting sick on it.
One of my painting projects. These red end tables are the perfect little pop of color.
Another end table and a tray that Wayne made for me.
Moving it around to see where I like it best.
A gorgeous mirror Wayne made for me.
Hads room with her new comforter, much more snugly and looks so much better.
A house warming present....we are the letter H!!!
This is another painting project and perhaps the one I am most proud of. This piece was a solid dark brown, my Mom had it for years and it just needed to be re-invented just a little.
