Tuesday, if it was possible, it was even colder. Again what to do at the beach when it is cold? Well we bundled up in the only winter outfit we brought and planned to go for a hike. Then we got the call that Gracie was going in to sanDestin to play on the playground and wanted Hadley to come and play and then eat lunch. So we headed in to sanDestin, which I love!!!! When we got there Gracie was at the bungee attraction. Hadley informed me very quickly that she wasn’t jumping and wasn’t interested. I was a little disappointed, because I would really like for her to seize opportunities and not be afraid, but I didn’t pressure her. What happened delighted me? There was a little girl jumping and all of a sudden she looks at me and says, “I want to do it.” I think I snatched the money from Wayne and flew across the pond to get her ticket. I impatiently waited in line and then ran back across the pond, hoping she hadn’t changed her mind. She hadn't and she had a blast. Tuesday night we kept Gracie and had Whataburger’s and took the girls swimming at the indoor pool. Fun was had by all. Although, Hadley was a little too much of a couch potato for Gracie, at one point, she said, “Is this all we are going to do, really?”

Surf, Sand and Sun
We were all in need of a vacation. It was nice to get away and it wasn’t work so it was great, it could have been better if the weather had been a little warmer, but again it wasn’t work!!! This is Hadley on the way down, in a total trance, isn’t technology amazing.
Saturday afternoon we got in late and immediately hit the outlet mall (Fantastic, pure bliss)!!!! We realized there was going to be a theme for the week, when Hadley asked if we were at the beach, we responded yes and she then repeatedly asked, “Where’s Gracie?” over and over and over. We met up with Gracie for pizza that night and the girls cracked me up. It was like a scene from a movie when two long lost friends reunite. There was a running scene, a loud squeal, and a long hug, which I didn’t think, was going to end. After pizza we took the girls to the track and let them ride a few rides. First things first though, the girls took a go-cart ride and by girls, I mean Hadley, Gracie, Renee and Me! Whew who go girls!!!!

Sunday morning we got up and the weather was fairly decent, it was really overcast but the temperature wasn’t that bad. We hit the beach and enjoyed a few hours of fun and sand. We then hit the pool, which Hadley had a blast. However, we repeatedly heard, “Where’s Gracie?” We met up with Gracie that afternoon at the commons and let the girls hit the playground. We also took them to a store called Glamour GirlZ where they got their fancy on. They had a blast. Hadley ended up going with Gracie and Renee. Wayne and I got an unexpected double date, with Brooke and Chris. We went to Dewey Destin's which I had a bad experience at before, but was quite good this time.

Monday we got up and it was absolutely frigid!!! What to do at the beach when it is cold? Well I knew there would be shopping involved, but Hadley kept asking, “Where’s Gracie?” So we got together with Renee and Gracie and took the girls to see Monster’s vs. Aliens 3D. Very cute movie, Susan totally rocks!!! Hadley enjoyed it and I got an hour and half of much needed snuggle time with my girl. She sat in my lap the whole time. So sweet. Hadley and I then went shopping and she was such a good girl, which as she will tell you, “I ain’t a shopper.” Wayne had gone golfing with some friends, but somehow he managed to buy me my anniversary present from the golf course and as I assured him when I told him he had had bought it, I just knew I would love it!!!!!!

What a beautiful day, ahhhh Wednesday, the day we finally saw the sun and didn’t have to wear a sweater. We got up late (I love vacation and sleeping in) and then headed down to the beach for a few hours. It was nice, but I’m sure Hadley would tell you she was bored silly. She knows mama don’t like to play in the sand and Daddy just wasn’t interested in being bossed around. Renee called and we decided to get the girls together to play on the beach while the boys golfed. The girls had a ball. At one point, Hadley was frozen like a statue in the water shivering saying how cold she was. I asked her if she wanted a jacket and she said no and started splashing. After a couple of hours, they decided they wanted to hit the pool and by the pool I mean hot tub and pool, where they sat in the middle of all the big kids. So cute, totally cramping those kids style…he he!!!! They kept going back and forth between the hot tub and the pool, I’m hot, I’m cold, I’m hot, I’m cold. By this afternoon though, the wind was blowing like crazy and it was pretty chilly. We decided to walk to Chick fil A and realized too far into our walk that it was a mistake; the wind almost carried us away several times.

Have I mentioned we went to Krispy Kreme twice during our trip, yummy!!!! Guess who got the sprinkle one?
Another beautiful day Thursday, but only a few more days until we go home. We got up late again and then headed down to the beach. Hadley didn’t want to play by herself at first but then had such a blast playing in the surf. We then took her up to the pool for a little bit. It was then naps and getting ready for dinner. After we ate, I took Hadley out behind the restaurant and snapped a few pictures. She is such a ham, but this Florida sun sure makes her blue eyes shine. We then took her back to The Track to play with Gracie. They were so excited to see each other; it was like it had been weeks instead of hours. Too cute!!!!
