Gotta Getaway

I love the beach!!! This past week we have been in Destin. The weather was perfect and we were able to enjoy the beautiful WHITE beaches. Hads looks forward to our trip each year, the beach is one of her most favorite places. This was Ms. Ellison's first trip and she really wasn't that impressed, although she was such a trooper. She went wherever we wanted and didn't make a peep about it. She was so off schedule all week and you would have never known it, such a sweet girl.
Posing at the Commons, totally unprompted by Mom, think she has had her picture taken a few thousand times?
The jungle girls posing in their matching outfits.

I love my Daddy!!!

Another day at the beach, so much joy in that face.

Ummm and this is Ms. Ellison, each day we went to the beach, she crashed as soon as we got there.

She woke up for some pool time, which she LOVED!!!

Hads also favored the pool this year. Of course I think it was because she discovered how much fun it was to jump in. Now if we could just get her to swim without floaties.

One evening we went down to the Harbour Walk and took a look around. It was an area we hadn't been to before and it was pretty neat. There was a man that had his rescued birds set up. Hads was good with the first two, but when he put the third one on her head, the girl drama set in and she kept saying, "get them off, get them off, ouch, ouch, ouch, get them off!!!"

We met up with our friends at The Track, which the girls love!!

Look out world, she is behind the wheel!!

Oh, the beautiful white sand, so precious....

My fair haired darling, enjoying the beach from under her umbrella.

One of my favorite things to do is to go into san Destin. While there Hads shows us her dare devil side.

Dinner in san Destin, Love me some Curls and Red!

After dinner we went to walk around the shops. Imagine my surprise when Curls begs to be placed in a sealed bubble to play on the water.

One night we were feeling lazy and didn't want to get ready. We walked to The Whale's Tail for dinner. It is right down from our condo and one of those places you can go to right off the beach. Hads kept asking where the truck was and when we were going to get to it. She just didn't understand walking and getting fresh air, clearly we have to get the girl out and stretch her legs more.

After dinner at The Whale's Tail, I put Hads in the pillowcase dress her BellBell made and took her down to the beach for some pictures.

One day Gracie come over to play. The girls had a blast spending the day together.

Back to The Track, that night. Girls RULE!!!!

Sweet, Sweet Red under a shade tree.

Such determination and focus.

Ahh the water rides, what a nail biter!!! Will we get wet? Who will we wet?

We are now back home and trying to get back in the groove. A little red haired darling is having a harder time that anyone else. Seems she got use to being held and fussed over and is a little rotten at the moment. Sure hope the manny doesn't have a hard time getting her back in the swing of things.....

So jealous! We're not making it to the beach this summer : ( Your girls are beautiful, Carrie. I can't believe how red Ellison's hair is - she definitely lives up to her nick name.
