Brought to you by the number 1

Nevermind the fact that her paci was hanging from her onesie. This chick found something else to soothe her. Well I have been seriously scolded by my mom for not posting in over a week, but we have had a lot going on this past week and I have been remiss in my picture taking. With no pictures to share, I have not posted. Then this Saturday we had a great visit with Stacia and her girls. I planned to post Sunday, but after night number two of restless sleep with Ms. Ellison I took her to the doctor Sunday and she has an ear infection. That would explain why she hasn't been herself the last week. I wonder if she was trying to tell me Sunday morning that she had 1 infected ear?

Then Sunday night I was getting Hads ready for Awana in her room, combing her hair and saw movement. I freaked, started screaming for Wayne (he was asleep on the couch). After the third scream he finally heard me, took off running, rounded the corner in the kitchen in his socks (we have hardwood) fell forward, bounced off the door jam, fell flat of his back and a kitchen chair landed on top of him. I herded Hadley into the kitchen to see what had happened, saw Wayne flat of his back, accessed he would survive and told him to die quietly, we had a situation. He confirmed what I thought, we had lice. I raced to KMart and bought out each product they had and came back so we could begin the delousing process. Hads was mad she was missing Awana and didn't understand why we kept having to comb through her hair. I can't even begin to describe the drama, at one point she told me "I can guarantee this won't happen again". I sure hope you are correct chic, because this isn't fun!!!!
Today I surprised Hads and ate lunch with her. I had my fingers crossed that she was having a good day (she was), she actually ended the day on BLUE!!!! Which meant she moved up instead of down!!!!! So glad.
Things I want to remember about today:
1. My big girl can listen if she puts her mind to it!!!
2. After lunch with Hads, I am secure in the fact, that I wasn't meant to be an Educator. You guys ROCK and have nerves of steel...WOW!!!!
3. My big girl is teaching herself sign language all by herself (starfall.com is AWESOME). We had a great conversation when I picked her up this afternoon. I regret not having a tape recorder to document the 30 minute adult conversation we had, it was GREAT!!!! So proud of her for learning to sign by herself.
4. My little girl stood up all by herself tonight, unassisted not holding on to anything. Hadley and I were reading a book, we looked up and Ellison was standing in front of us, on both her feet, grinning at us. Wish I had a stinking CAMERA!!!!!
