Ahh the memories. Ellison has officially outgrown her bucket, Hads still meets the weight limit for her carseats, but can move on to a booster. Since Els has outgrown her bucket, we are in need of Hadley's carseats, well one of her carseats. One of her carseats has been so "loved" and is really worn out. Sunday Hadley's new booster seats had come in, so we went to Wally world to pick them up. We explained to her that big girls got booster seats and this would be her last ride in her car seat. Thinking she would be excited, we provided no more explanation. We got down the road and Wayne looked in his rear view mirror, Hadley was in tears. He asked her why she was crying and we heard, mumble, mumble, sniffle, sob. He asked again and between sniffles, she said "I want to keep this carseat for memories." I'm pretty sure Wayne almost wrecked, and I almost wet myself from laughing so hard. Wayne picking at me, told me I couldn't get rid of it, we had to keep it for MEMORIES. Knowing he was joking, I told him to get Hadley to name one specific memory that she wanted to remember about the carseat and I might consider it. UMMM, not surprising she couldn't be specific, but she did want to remember all her rides to school and rides to the beach in it. "Yes dear, she rides to school in it, but she has never ridden to the beach in it, we aren't keeping it."
My sensitive girl, I hope you have a lifetime of wonderful memories, that far surpass your memories of this carseat.
- Said carseat is in the trunk of my car, going anywhere but here.

Go to www.iihs.org for all booster seat ratings. I saw it on MotorWeek.
