BYE BYE BYE BYE!!!

These are so out of order.  I had been doing better....kicking myself.  So before you move on to the big girl room, you have to have a party to bid farewell to the "baby" room.  What better way to bid farewell to the baby room, than with cupcakes!!!!  Her hair looks so pitiful in these pictures, the week before their water day had been bumped, so in an effort to send them off right...they had a water day and a party.  Can it get any better than that?

Preschool is Exhausting

So Monday I picked Ellison up and she told me how high she went on the BIG swings, then she passed out.  Tuesday, she immediately fe1l alseep.  Wednesday she told me she wanted Chick Fil A, then conked out.  A definte unusual theme.  I am usually hit with 500 questions about my day, endless driving instructions, and several tall tales about all her peeps at school.  So imagine my surprise when I enjoyed three quiet rides home this week.  Well Thursday morning the truth came out...she hasn't been napping.  She has been hanging out on her cot, whispering to her teacher and reading a book.  Her very sweet teacher wanted to let me know she wasn't being disruptive, but wanted to let me know hoping it wasn't messing up her evening schedule.  She asked if there was anything she could do to get her to sleep, my advise....get her still for two minutes and she will be out light....but otherwise good luck with that!!!!

No Words...

So the other night Chris & Brooke invited us over to grill out and swim.  The girls usually end up fighting over McLain's attention, who is 9.  But this time something strange happened, Ellison was all over McLain and these two like rally hit off.  Usually they just talk and kind of acknowledge each other, but I know now I am in trouble, when I found her and Owen like this....

CRAZY TOWN

So I knew when I picked her up and she started backing behind the bookshelf and bawling that there was going to be a problem.  They said she didn't take a nap and that always means she is going to be more stubborn than usual.  I mean on a good day, parenting her means you have to figure out how to make her think what you want her to do, is her idea.  If you can do that you are golden, however when she is overtired you aren't afforded that amount of time.  She goes straight to crazy town.  So it was crazy town we went.  I litterally had to pick her up and carry her out sideways under my arm kicking and screaming.  My other arm was full of her stuff, so I ended up semi dropping her on the floor in front of the school.  OF COURSE, parents were coming in.  Parents, like multiple sets of parents.  They were all doing that look away thing, you know, the can you believe what a horrid child look away???  Several almost broke into a sprint so they could distance themselves from crazy town, so it doesn't wear off on their perfectly angelic children.  When I got to the car, I had to drop her in the floor board, go around and get the AC going (it was sweltering) as I knew I was in for a wrestling match to get her in her car set.  I got in next to her and physcially had to pin her down in the seat while I buckled her one handed.  It was brutal.  The same parents that were going in, when I came out, started coming out while I was still buckling her and they began to sprint and look away, because of course we were sitting right outside the front doors.

Of course as she was falling asleep, she was plotting her escape.  She got half way unbuckled and passed out.
