From the Backseat
From the Backseat at 11:00 p.m. last night, this is what I hear as Wayne is pumping gas, "Mama I like boys, I like the boys at my school, I like the boys at my church, I like boys." This little insight was totally unprompted; she and I weren't even really talking. She was singing a song that had the word boy in it and after she finishes her song, she decides to make her big declaration. Oh boy!!!! Refer to Trouble at School post....

Saturday Night Fun, Something for Everyone
Saturday Night, what to do ?
1. Breakfast for Dinner (my favorite) - A few pictures of my cooks in the kitchen. I learned that a good cook must always sample as they prepare their meal.
2. An Evening Horseback Ride (Hadley's new favorite) - She laughed her contagious adorable laugh the whole time. This is the first time she has ridden in the saddle by herself. The picture on the mower is of her waiting to ride as I sweat getting her horse, Sassy saddled. Clearly she is not interested in the grunt work.
3. College Football (Wayne's favorite) - No pictures necessary, it's not pretty. Although, you can check out Amy's blog for pictures of football earlier that day. It wasn't Auburn, but it was SEC College Football, so Wayne was all about it.

Walking down memory lane
Nope, we don't have a new cheerleader in the family. Guess who this uniform use to belong to.....me! Although, I don't think my parents would actually say I was a cheerleader. My only recollection of wearing this is the pictures of me standing with my finger in my mouth, bawling my eyes out. Mom and Dad may have to correct the story, but I believe I made my debut and had my final appearance in the same night.
In the first picture below, I asked Hadley to pose with her hands on her hips. When I asked her why she was cocking her head to the side, she said because that is what cheerleaders do. It's been so long since my one appearance, I had forgotten!!!!

Hadley's extreme makeover
Hadley is in her first year of Awana this year. She is a very proud little Cubbie. Each month they have a theme night; this month's theme night was Crazy Hair. Sure we could have gone with the standard crazy ponytails or braids or even painted hair, but we opted for straight hair. After all, what would be crazier for a girl with kinky curly hair than straight hair? She almost looks sweet in this picture....
I've got tomorrow's post ready and let's say it will take a couple people down memory lane......
