All about getting away

This weekend Amanda and Darrell invited us to go to Lake Burton with them. We had such a good time, just getting away in such a beautiful place. The area was just absolutely gorgeous, I would love to see it in the Spring or Fall. Saturday the girls went to Babyland General (The Cabbage Patch Hospital). The girls even got to witness a Cabbage Patch birth. We then went shopping. The boys had a good time trying out a new golf course. Sunday morning we got up and did a little hiking. We had two beautiful days, thank you Amanda and Darrell for taking us away from it all for awhile, we had a great time.

I got to wake up each morning to this view.

Behind Hadley in this picture is something called Sliding Rock Falls. Amanda said that in the summer the falls are filled with kids sliding down them on their bottoms. I think I would have to see it, I'm having trouble envisioning the fun in jagged rock up your behind!!!!

Our little hiker, about the last quarter of a mile, she kept begging Wayne to pick her up. He kept telling her to press on it was good exercise. She kept whining so he gave her a walking stick. Which rather than a walking stick, she used it to beat the bushes as she walked by.

We got home tonight in time for Hadley and Wayne to go to Awana. Shortly, after they got home tonight, Ms. Amy called and wanted to share a blog worthy quote. Oh, Ms. Hadley you act way to old for your age.
